Career He’s not going for one of the challenges already?

Well I thought I’d keep up with what I’ve done regularly since being on here and that’s going for a challenge, this one is a fun sounding one and should be an easy one to get me in to the game and try things out, after this one I’ll be looking at a long term career. Anyway this is what I’ve gone for.

So a fun sounding challenge from @Scratch, there is no doubt I’ll have this wrapped up by tonight, let’s hope I can get in to the swing of the new game fast 😁

So decent looking stats on the boys, but was expecting Havertz to look a bit better than he does, hopefully with game time his stats will improve. I should be back later with an update on how things have gone, unless it’s gone shocking 👀

Yeah I know, I thought I’d get on quietly with a career first but I thought I may as well let people see how I’m getting on and plus @Scratch created this nice easy starter. Not as brave as your challenge mate 😁

I know, I’m surprised he’s gone worse if anything, hopefully with some training he can improve. Thanks 😁

I don’t agree about Havertz. He looks pretty good to me. It’s a case of being misguided by the colours of the attributes imo. 5 of his attributes there are 13/14 and if his dribbling and passing were +1 (which they will be after a few weeks training probably) then it looks completely different and much better at first glance.

I agree with you. If you think about it, in game these players havent started preseason yet and will in theory had a close season drop 😂

Thank you for all your comments lads, I’ve already gone and done a whole season, so let’s see how it went.

The Season

So I went in to this not really knowing what to expect, was hoping the tactics had changed a bit and it wasn’t the same as last season.

So I set the way I wanted to play to try and accommodate all 4 and try and get the best from all 4 which was new for me, never tried to get the best out of 4. Having then looked at the squad, I didn’t feel like we needed many players, Koulibaly and Gosens are the only two who come in to our starting line up.

So as you can see an attacking formation which I hoped would get me a decent score. It took me until only about November of watching extended highlights to be happy with this, I felt like it was great going forward and defending, but would it bring us glory and goals and hoes?

So as you can see our first team dominated in the league and Europe which is great, wasn’t expecting to get something good going this early on, but over 100 league goals is not bad. Second team did not do too well in the cups. Let’s see if the players we needed to score and assist actually did?

So as I’m typing this I have no idea what my score will be, but a couple of injuries and maybe I played my second team a bit much, I tried to go about this with only going with the boys a certain amount, but did not work and I’ll be going back my usual way of doing things, really enjoyable season though and I really like the changes in the game.

Pretty good for a first career in 21 too. I still haven't played yet so not sure what to expect. I'm guessing it will take a while to settle in and work out how to get the most of it, so makes your score more impressive when viewed in that light.

I've never tried a 4 player challenge either and not sure the best way to approach it. With the three up front ones I play them every game I can, but sub them all off - but you can't do that with 4 players... Hang on, is it still 3 subs in FMM21 or did they move to 5?. So much to get my head around...

Thanks Scratch! I think you’ll really like it mate, I haven’t got any negatives on it thus far, was really enjoyable, I did find you could get players cheaper than you could last year, which I hope isn’t a one game thing, so maybe rebuilding squads that we both seem to do will be a lot more fun this year.

I had never tried getting the best out of 4 players either which was new to me, was really enjoyable though, will be giving this another go at some point once I’m more settled in to the game. I seen earlier someone mention you could do 5 subs and I didn’t notice, which means my way of playing this challenge will totally change next time!

Its 5 subs in European games and only 3 in the League and domestic cups. I'm attempting this challenge now too as a nice little starter to the game. 👌 I have a tactic from last years game which is handy for four attacking players. I'm excited how it'll work this year.
