Season 13: Atletico Madrid - Part 2

This season was the hardest so far, I did lack the determination and I must confess that I did some holiday and I think was a "fatal" mistake. Turns out that you won't get manager points for the matches you win when you are on holiday and at the end of this season I was ranked 11th, I think this is the lowest I saw myself. Why I think it was a BIG mistake?

The team was real good and won against Real in the league but lost in the Champions League semis. Real was the better team between Real and Barca, but not much, in the league they were the same and also beat Barca home and away. The second to last game of the league was against Barca at home and we won.

 

This match was fatal to the manager and they sacked, I applied to the job but...

Gallardo was ranked 4th and I was only 11th so I lost the job because of this, I think, The other option was they didn't pick me because I was the manager of one of their rivals.... and just to make sure this won't happen again I have resigned!!

Not being a manager means I will go even lower in the ranking...

 

Atletico season

The season is over and I'm still without a job. I need to look for Real, Barcelona, Southampton or Portsmouth. The SUPERB news is the Portsmouth got promoted to Premiere League so they most likely sack their manager after max one season, their team is bad and 100% they will get relegated.

Until I get a job I will look for an International job, just to make my life easier.

Season 14. Appointmemt

In the last week of July two job offers pop up, Spurs and M'Glabach. As I will never go to Spurs, I went to apply for M'Glabach and when I waited for the job offer something showed up out of the blue... I think their manager went on to a bigger team...

I got the job right after their first game, 1-1 against Manchester United. 

 

The team is ok-ish. I have old and grumpy Leao that doesn't want to change his mind about retirement. Also I have old and grumpy Arezo that he wants a new challenge at 31 years of age. In the middle of the field I have a 33 years old Dominik Szaboszlai.

I got almost 50M in the bank and one month of transfer window, a dream. Porthsmouth game is the 7th league game, away, on 1st of October. 

14 seasons I was thinking that I will be the manager of Portsmouth and beat Southampton and it turns out completely different 😂

Is not, they have a good midfield and good strikers, the defence is bad and missing good players on AMR, this is a quick fix and 100% I will beat Portsmouth from the first try.

Season 14. Southampton - Part 1

Back at this save for the 5425624212th time, one step closer to the finish line, is close, i can feel it!

This may look that was a hard game, and it was but I don't understand why. We smashed the league and Carabo Cup until this game and before the game the situation could not look more different, it was first place vs last place! Maybe because the game will transform each 20th place team in world class when you play with it 🤣

 

And now, the wait!

Right now I'm ranked 12th in the world and I will try to win everything so I'm going back to top 10 or top 5, to be on the shortlist when Barcelona will sack their manager. I'm saying Barcelona because they are in a poor form in the league, Real is 2nd right behind Atletico. I left a really good team Atletico so hopefully they will win the league 2 or 3 seasons from now.

Season 14. Southampton - Part 2

The season is over and I'm still on England's south coast. In the mean time we had two extra derbies against Portsmouth, won one (2-3 in Carabo Cup) and drew another (2-2 in Premiere League). To make my life more enjoyable I got a extra job...

 

Not sure why, but Romania's manager is always on fire in every save I had so I took it this time. This is my first international job in FMM21... the squad is super weak. Not sure what I can achieve but it's a little spice in my long wait of Barca/Real job.

 

With Southampton I won everything was on the table.

 

As I used the tactic I used in my last TTR season and I love it, I won't show it. Great results, 32W, 4D and 1L in the league. Next season I'm sure it would be less prolific as I will try to have a A squad and B squad so less quality but I will play faster.

 

Towards the end of the season Barcelona got good results but the manager job went to be Insecure without being listed so I couldn't declare interest.

 

I think I need to stay here for few seasons so...

Season 15. Southampton - Part 3

That is true, Barca sacked their manager 3 times in 14 seasons. Real sacked Zidane in the second or third season only to hire him again after few years after, and he is in charge since. 

 

Now back to Southampton, we won the Community Shield against Manchester United. 

 

Then we had a bad start in the Premier League with 4W, 3D and 3L in the first 10 games... even this happened. Good for FMMed Challenge. 

 

In the Champions League we were OK... But Real wasn't!!! Zidane was sacked after he lost 4 out of 4 matches in the Champions League and the team is only 8th in LaLiga. Guess who got the job? 

I only have 5 matches until the Derby against Barcelona, 3 leagues matches and 2 Champions League ones. The game is on 9th December. 

In the team I have some familiar faces, a guy who I had at Southampton until September, one guy that I had in Sevilla at Betis, old 32yo Jaloliddinov, 30yo Pipi and the only player with an photo, Frank Evina (he starts the save at Hannover 96).

Season 15. Real Madrid

This is the last update here, finally, after 4 months 🤣

Thanks @Albionic, @geordiekrispy and anyone who read, liked or commented on this. Special thanks to @Rich and @broodje kip, without you two I would have finished this since December 🤣🤣 You dragged me into Augusta and didn't even let me win it 🤪

Barca was on 3rd place before the derby, behind Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid. Real was on 6th as I managed to win the league matches and the Champions League ones and got 3rd place... but nothing matters now.

I must confess I felt lucky, Almeida had 2 disallowed goals!! And what a nice feeling as the goals came late and from players that I got when I was on Betis (Jagiello, bought it when he was 16 for Betis, see the post from 7th February) and Southampton (Mahar, bought it last season and sold him this season). Mahar got me the Community Shield and this win!!

 

I resigned from Romania job after the Nations League was done, I wanted to concentrate on this and that job was a distraction... Still, I won my group!

 Now, this is my Manager Profile and my Trophy Cabinet. After 15 years I don't have much there as I was always on the go... still, 11 cups and 2 are European trophies! With 6 promotions I will go 2nd place in The Neil Warnock Promotion Challenge.
