Cheers lads, much appreciated. These challenges are wonderful for trying to figure out what works and @Scratch created a corker here.

As many on here have already said, dynamics/relationships are very important this year. I didn’t rip the squad up too much, which is unlike me, and from about Xmas onwards was winning most games 2/3-0, with the occasional blip. It’s like the relationship generates a system percentage that overlays upon a passes chance of completion. It’s kinda fascinating. At least that’s my interpretation of it.

Another attempt

I wanted to give this challenge another whirl with my Bruno tactic. The players I have chosen time are Pulisic, Havertz, Werner, and Abraham.

Transfers

Chelsea have a good transfer and wage kitty and a massive valuable squad. I decided to pretty much do a massive squad overhaul. We ended with a smaller, compact, versatile squad.

Team Performance

A disappointing loss meant we exited the Carabao Cup early and Barcelona took us out of the Champions Cup on away goals. Otherwise it was a fairly strong season. Much like my previous attempts, and the attempts of others, I rotated an A and B team.

We received 170 points from the league, with a goal difference of 71 and league point total of 99.

Players Performance

In terms of goals and assists: 

• Tammy got 43 and 13, totalling 56;
• Timo got 43 and 18, totalling 61;
• Kai got 33 and 28, totalling 61;
• Pulisic got 33 and 4, totally 36

This gives us 214 player points.

Our overall total is 385.

@Scratch please may you add this to the leaderboard? It’ll be nice to still have the top score until @Ian finishes his attempt!

Thanks Scratch. This season seems to be one of those where one of us stumbles across a tactic that works (one from early last year for me) and then goes back to set some good scores on some older challenges. Then the next person does it, and so on.
