Also since you have already reached the last stage, you can add up all the goals from your national heroes under you and see if you can reach 1KC as there are bonus points for it.

That's just what I'm doing now as I realised I could be close

 

Yeah, I'm well off. my National Hero would have to score a lot each season to be able to make it to 1k by the time the CWC comes around in 3 seasons. Like 189 goals in 3 seasons... Maybe I could push it out finishing the career, but I'm not sure.

 

Keeping my hero's safe and not playing them in the league has definitely killed of my chances for that.

Season 2 in the UK leg of this challenge is completed (it's felt like a bit of a slog at the end to be honest).

 

I tweaked my tactics a bit this season to make my IFs wingers, to try and stop the scoring so much.

And was playing around with a flat midfield 3 rather than a DMC in the middle and tweaking the roles as well.

I can't tell if that's what made us concede more or it we just weren't as good...

League:

Won it at a canter again, un-beatean in the league again too. Not quite as good GF or GD totals though.

 

Cups:

Again we lost in the League Cup semi-final, this time to Celtic on penalties.

 

We wont he Scottish FA Cup again though:

 

Old Firm Derbies:

Bit of a mixed bag this year, we only lost that one derby, but drew one too. So our winning streak was ended.

Not quite the same success as pretty much all my other seasons in this challenge this year, getting knocked out in the semi's to Liverpool.

Drawing at home and then losing away

 

I'm going to blame that as my mood dampener. That and my new national hero getting injured a fair amount this year and so my hero from last year ended up playing most of the games in Europe and scored 1 more.

 

National Hero:

I decided to use my young 19 year old I bought last year and he smashed it in the league, then got injured and missed most of the European games, then smashed it again in the league.

 

Annoyingly my old hero did well too

I've just realised that my calculations of goals to do before the next CWC were assuming it was 3 seasons until the next CWC, so it's actually 533 to get to 1000 goals, so 266.5 per season...

Yeah that's not going to happen! Maybe before the one after that, so if I don't win it at first time of asking I might have a chance.

Given that each season you finish early is only worth 5 points, the highest score will definitely be someone who plays all 30 seasons (29, since the last CWC should be 2049). It could definitely be worth throwing a final or 3 to rack up points 🤔

True, that's if you can put yourself another 15ish years at the same club winning everything... If I was to do that, I'd honestly try to push for a solo 1k with my hero too.
