Hello, This is my career in FMM 21. I will try to make the last step and bring back Pisa to the Serie A as in the late 80's. After they have already made a double jump from Lega Pro. 

The squad has a core of players that are together since the team was in Lega Pro. In addition there are some good loans from Atalanta, Sassuolo and Lazio. 

The major weakness is the lack of FB/WB/W on the left side and another one is the average age of the rooster. There are limited funds and the wage expenditure is over the fixed one. 

But at the end there is the sufficient stuff to start a good project.

After having analyzed the players I firstly adopted a 3-2-3-2 (fluid counter) and tested it in the initial friendlies. It did not work as I expected.

Therefore I reverted to 4-1-2-2-1 and, based on this, I changed my backroom team to have much quality. 

The hype had a boost when I found E. Davids(who matched with his preferred tactics) 💪 and when surprisingly Bernazzani was interested as a scout for youth (gold badge, natural aptitude 🥳) 

To increase the number of left FB/WB I bought at 0€ a 24 y.o. from Torino (Procopio). After I invested the few funds blindly following the suggestions of Mr. Bernazzani 🙌 in Merola (300k) and Serrano (free, 5star potential) 

Later I will give you more info about the other players and the start of the season.

This is good news... I usually don't look at wornderkid lists because I prefer find them randomly in the game. 

So, let's talk about the start of the season. The results are not outstanding but I think we made what expected : we passed to the next Coppa Italia round and we grabbed some points in difficult Serie B games. Struggling with Brescia and Chievo together with the arrive of Serrano lead to the tactic change.

The draw to Vicenza was a good performance at all with the first sign of what impact the kids could give... 

In the derby with Empoli (Pisa and Empoli are 50 km far in the middle of Tuscany) we found the first Serie B win. Now we are mid-table as the board expectations require.

A mid-season update. We are a bit over-achieving as we are near the top teams, even if the table is very flat (5 points from 4th to 12th). 

Lecce and Monza are on their own track... With the 'brianzoli' we measured our progresses also in the defeat: last week

The Big issue Now... I have expiring contracts for some of the best players but I am out of money. 🥶 No help from the board:

I have tried to do my best to convince some of the players (the younger ones) and this is their answer... 😭

I am afraid we will have to say good bye also  to Marconi, our best performer, as he doesn't even think of negotiating. For now we have to thanks him for the job.

Bad luck but it won’t be much of a problem. Lets hope big clubs release some good youngsters

The first season is finished with some up and down. We grabbed a playoff spot

Thanks to our bomber, Michele Marconi, whose contract is expiring. 

Salernitana inflicted us the worst defeat of the season.  

The playoff dream has been very short, but in the last third of the season I made experiments with some youngsters from the reserves because, as mentioned above, I will loose some first team players with expiring contracts. This is what happened:

Birindelli, class 99, was a real loss. Gucher, Carracciolo, Benedetti, Marconi refused to negotiate a cut on their wage... When I was very close to the 30th of june, a holy offer from the Spain came for my Romania international, Marin (class 98). From a value of 2,4M I seal the deal at 4,3M.

With that money I have convinced the players easily to renew the contracts and with the new year budget I added some new faces choosing from the precious Bernazzani's list

The 4-1-2-2-1 that worked well in the first season, did not in the second.

In addition the blending of the new players was tricky. Probably I reduced too much the age of the squad. I really risked to be sacked... 

After a period like that (also with Marconi out injured) , I finally decided to change tactics. I switched to a 4-2-4 and retrained some players, like Serrano, from inside forward to advanced forward /poacher. 

This was the results after the change:

So I noted the same lesson of the one learned when playing FMM19: if you go more defensive but you haven't got high individual values for your defenders, at one point you must think of going forward on the pitch with the center of gravity of your squad. 

This experience gave me also good elements to decide to cut two, three players that "lost their faith" in me when problems come. Namely De Vitis and Caracciolo...

In the january market I add some rotation players to the rooster to replace the ones that leaved. Only one got more minutes match after match. He is a loan from Barcelona (I have found nothing in real world) :

He gave me a real boost up front. 

With my new phylosophy the problem was the regularity. A lot of up and down and a safe mid table position, nothing more 

Mental balance is not in our DNA and fragile hearts are at risk here... Below one of the nice end stories but sometimes we have been on the other side. 

I think l'll have to patiently waiting for new relationships to build up beetween the players before results become more stable. 

I am already looking to occasions to strenght the squad for the next season with a low budget. This is the first player for the next season.

After the disappointing season, it's time for a revolution thanks to some good deals... 

I went on promising players thanks to Bernazzani's work, plus I bought permanently Munteanu and Mazzitelli and I added some good performers for the Serie B campaign. 

I returnd to the 4-1-2-2-1, which is the preferred tactic of every staff member, changing some instructions and it works a lot better.

At mid season we are close to the leading teams. 

The board is delighted and I have made different requests: one step for the youth facilities and two steps for training facilities (+1 coach position). 

I have begun to build the foundations to give the team the structure for competing in a larger stage!

It has a clearly romanian surname (and we can say with family tradition in the national team!) but actually is russian (the name is Artem).

I think it is a regen of the beginning of 2nd season. He has Barcelona B as its first club and I searched too but there is no trace in the real world.No second nationality

he has already answered to the Russia call... 3 gol in 7 caps. And 5 in 12 in the Serie B. 

It's a crack but it has gone through a first lowering of potential, even if still 4 stars. With a pacy hitman description (first time I have found) I imagined even more...

P. S. I controlled (some posts above) the first screenshot I made about him... Its first club has changed from Barcelona to Barcelona B 🤔

I use the 5 1 2 2 1 to cut the player cost, its cheaper for me to stockpiling defender instead of foward which is expensive to get one (esp. winger).

Mate, not fair to play with 12 players... 😄

Apart from jokes, let me say that for my experiences it depends on the initial bunch of players you find in a club, the staff you choose, the nation you are playing in at least. But I agree definitely that also defending football is very rewarding if you set the appropriate att/def instructions accordingly. 

In this case I raised money thanks to one of the best scout in the game  (i.e. Serrano sold 14 M /bought 250k) and controlling that almost every young player can improve (give him chances/ loan out /sell). GK Loria, already at club, following this process, brought in 7 M. At the end this season I totalized 27 M and I spent 10 M. But whit that I kept the process going by buying 16 y. o. prospects to start again.

Just to talk a little more of capital gain, my january market... 

(It will be nice a challenge about the max capital gain realized in x years). For now I have totalized about 47 M in 2 seasons and a half

Of course I invested some of that money for the replacements as we are 3 pts far from the first place for direct promotion 

Talking about performances, this was nice...

In the second half of the season, I payed in terms of results the necessary time to blend the newcomers. 

Against AC Milan, it's my time to give farewell to the Coppa Italia. But with honour. 

After that, there was a collapse and I threw to the wind my good position in the Serie B. 

3 defeats that took me in 7th place. I had to make some changes, so I decided to try a 'control' approach with longer possession and patience to avoid breaks from the opponents. 

It worked very well, moreover I chose the same IX for two months (only changes due to suspensions, injuries or really bad votes) in order the team to blend faster. 

A massive winning streak that let me close the gap until the last match where a REAL THRILLING END came.

Thanks mates, 3 years is the right time for a promotion. I won't be shy to use the 33 M budget I have accumulated, where appropriate 🤑🤑🤑

The summer transfer window was tricky. Even if I have a lot of funds, the board limits maximum wage (a dedicated board request would be useful). Therefore I collected several offer rejections. 

The idea of confirming the most of the team has raised in my mind and it worked. I only made a big investment for a CD (A. Cistana, Brescia). For the rest I enlarged the rooster to have a replacements in some roles. And some kids taken with Bosman rule in january 

Funny story: I bought Merola at the beginning of game for 325k, I sold him to Atalanta for 3.5M (with a clause of 15 % on the future sell). Now I take him back as a sub for 2.5M (-375k for the previous clause)... Some judge investigations are expected here 😂

The tactic used for promotion works very well even in serie A. The demonstration in the first two gameweeks... 

Debut with a super comeback in Bologna... 

Home Debut with a triumph over the champions... 

And now the limit is the sky.

You can always transfer funds from transfers to wages and that will increase the maximum wage.

Well, I am below the budget of about 7M but I am forced to stay below 1.1M offer for first team role. But I will try...

Moreover I completed my task, so I'm thinking also about moving clubs... Who knows. Unfortunately I selected only Italy so the database is quite small.

First half of the season more or less has passed. I can enjoy Christmas holidays celebrating our very unexpected table leading... 

I have found an impressive tactical balance and, despite the tips I have experienced in the past, I have NEVER changed the intructions either home or away and regardless of the opponents. 

Only a defeat in Serie A and one in Coppa Italia. 

Funny thing: I lost only with Frosinone, seems like a lack of motivation which is my specific influence area... Ops 

I exploited the "absolutely delighted" mood of the board with smart requests about training centers that now are : Excellent /Great

The two nature forces of the first half of the season are Munteanu (of course... 12 in 12 with one month injury) and Abdullah Bolat (Bernazzani's recommended regen bought last year, returning from a loan) 

Funny thing 2: he has the 66 as preferred... Obviously he found it unassigned.
