Yeas, I saw that most of the holes are slightly "hardened". On this one I've asked because last year the two mentioned didn't do way over birdie on this, one had 7 hattricks and the other one 9

So we try again, I wrote up a massive thing but it didn’t come out right at all, I’m not Going to post it all again as you’ll find out why as I counted wrong and well and truly messed this up.

The Boys Who Got 4

So now I will explain my disaster, I thought I had got 9 different players by end of December, but I had counted Kean and Esposito again, as they both scored 4 again, I hadn’t noticed so I went about January and got rid of strikers and players, thinking I had already completed the challenge. The most annoying thing is I had 15 times players scored 4 but turns out it came from only 7 players, which is actually very funny but very annoying as I had a great season and thought I had completed this challenge by December so I could sort my squad out and get a better balance to it.

 Who cares how we did really in the league and cups as it doesn’t matter as I well and truly messed up this one, so annoying when you hit 4 goals 15 times but it’s not even from 8 players 🤣

I have to be honest. This is the most frustrating season I’ve had. Somewhere around October to January I was left with an underperforming Lukaku, Declined Griezmann, and bunch of Serie B quality strikers. I sold Lukaku in January and everyone got mad at me. Now they’re all unhappy.

Hole 4 - Flowering Crab Apple (Par 3)

The first Par 3 on the course meaning the first half season challenge for you to tackle. This is a hole that requires precision and accuracy, and one that is a lot more challenging than originally meets the eye.

Challenge - In half a season (19 league games) you must get as close to the GD of +65, as possible.

Birdie - Within 10

Par - Within 25

Bogey - More than 26 away

Hole 5 - Magnolia (Par 4)

This picturesque hole is covered in the flower of Magnolia, native to the United States. A birdie on this hole is definitely possible but might be hard to get.

Challenge - Buy two American wing backs. They must get as many combined assists as possible in one season and can't play any higher up the field than DML/R. All competitions.

Birdie - 65+ assists

Par - 40-64 assists

Bogey - 20-39 assists

Double Bogey - Less than 20 assists

Assisting aren’t really my thing but 65 surely is possible with Erling Haaland up top right?

As @RichDis a little busy at work today and we are tied in the leaderboard I'm gonna post my result first. Rich did finish the challenge but being busy at work he can't post, this happens when toy study hard at school, people will hire you and you will have no time for games. 

 

Anyway, back to the game!

On a normal season this challenge should be like a walk in the park, somehow I always have a magnet for dramatic so my season didn't start as planned. It wasn't too bad but also not too good, I did score a lot but also conceded way more than last season. And it was the same tactic, the problems were:

1. I've sold Pavard who was my best defender

2. The player rioted because I've sold Pavard and because I made 2 enquires about transfer targets, the result: 19 players with exclamation mark and 2 lost the respect for me....

3. A nice bug in the game that reverted my tactics to default and didn't notice it for a good amount of time. Also reverted to default my set pieces routine that got me a good amount of goals

 

I did make some changes in the tactic so at the end of the challenge was like this

 

Competitions... only two were done until the end of December, Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup, won both.

As for the other competitions, I usually have two selections to quick load and go fast in the game. Both teams are somehow equal but in early September I've changed that and made a better team to run in the league and one weaker team to run in the cups, as a result I've exited Carabo Cup in the Forth Round and oly got 3rd place in the Champions League group.

Hello and welcome to my attempt at hole 4, I actually completed this a while ago now, but work got in the way, but now I’m off until after the new year 😁

So I decided again that I would try something new, it’s similar in ways to my goal but bonanza tactic so would need more inside forwards in for this and a couple of strikers as we previously only used a 1 striker.

So the dynamics look lovely here, it’s actually so nice when it looks like that. Main aim of this tactic was just to score as many as we could, we had good pace defensively so was hoping that we wouldn’t concede too many.

A smashing first half of the season for us, only loss coming against betis who we were 4-1 down against. They had a lot of pace up top and gave us problems. But we’re a few seasons in now so things are easier to say the least.

A question if you don't mind... do you find any trouble with your DM position (club?)? I've avoided using them recently. Sorry for the awful golf puns (pins?)

Hi mate, yeah with DM position, they never get good ratings which has been a problem for a while, but I have found they aren’t involved in the game as much and they nothing “special” so they’re ratings don’t go up, but they do there jobs, I always concede less with one in there, just ignore the average rating as it seems only goals and assists make that better which is silly to me.

They seems to do good this year. I only use them once which is in my defenderless challenge due to my playstyle of using Libero

I tend to use a DM only when I get a team in the middle of the season and the defenders are bad so I keep them to have a better defense and sometimes to compensate if I don't have a good BPD

With a Birdie wave, the standings didn't change at all. Mr. Sandwich is still up front with one point ahead of me and Rich.

The next challenge may change the things a little bit as me and Rich we're not usually using wing-backs in out tactics
