On small teams I went Contain or Defensive and on big teams I went on Counter... it sound counter intuitive but we all know that the hardest games you have is with relegation battle or lower league teams. Also, at the beginning of the match I will take a look at each team shape and went the opposite way: if the team play narrow, I went wide, if they play balanced or wide I would play narrow. As a result, there were a lot of games when they had 0 or almost 0 shots

Also, up front (AML, AML and FC) I had high pace players, my main striker had 20 on pace, 18 or shooting.

Ok so this is going to be a big update, as there is a lot to show you really, I wasn’t planning monthly updates but George did, so I will 😂Also I have no idea how many clean sheets I’ve had, so whilst doing this, we will all find out 😁

So as you can see a massive amount of changes and I proper enjoyed doing this, I love the transfer market and finding gems, would have been nice to exchange all the players that went out, but not possible unfortunately. 
 

Squad

So a big squad here, not everyone played though. Our most expensive lads were the ones we exchanged and some were really good tbh.

Goalkeepers

So Hwang will be departing next year, but I had a very good idea, I had a keeper returning after 12 months of injury in January and he’s good and was a bosnam. Also I screenshotted at the end of the season, so I had blank out how many they conceded😁

So Da Silva Junior will depart next season, he’s actually been the ones who’s stats have improved a hell of a lot and actually is a quality left back now. These screenshots are ruining my little brain already 😂

Midfielders

So these are all my midfielders I used, now wingers were used as wide midfielders at first but I got bored of defending as usual so they were pushed to inside forwards then which actually worked just as well.

So Velasco who is my centre forward and my main man really will be leaving, which I’m gutted about, also leaving Querioz Costa who played on the wing and will be my midfielder and was my best player all season, his stats are awesome which is a shame. I’m sure I can find great Chinese players instead of Hwang, Da Silva Junior, Querioz Costa and Velasco 👀

Tactics

A lot of good relationships considering how boring and bland it is. It was even more bland when you consider the inside forwards were actually used as winger and inverted winger back by the midfielders. I give you the full tactic and how simple it was, I did go defensive in a few games but not that many, I didn’t want us to absorb too much pressure in games. I went time wasting about 10 games left of the season and actually worked so well, players would take there time a lot more with the ball, didn’t actually mean they wasted time.

So I would have gone through every month with you, but I simply haven’t got the time this morning and this is already taking me forever, I will give screenshots of a game from every month though and the finals obviously.

A massive 48 clean sheets in one season, I didn’t think it was going to be that high, but I’m over the moon with that, probably my best all round performance of the whole challenge yet. You can count again for me cause I counted a few times then and I’m still not sure 😂

Our club legend and vice-captain, Michael Carey is going to leave the club next season. He was bought to replace another legendary goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga. It is a very tough job to replace a multi-Champions League winning goalkeeper at the age of 19 and in the middle of the season but it certainly not the case here for Michael Carey. In his debut season which is only half a season, he managed still get in the Serie A team of the season. Played huge role in our career and been our vice-captain for the past few years. Viva La Michael Carey!

With @broodje kip's birdie and @RichD mess on the challenge requirement, the distance is closing down and is now of only one point. Meanwhile, I got a little further on two points ahead... still 7 holes to go so a lot of things can happen.

 

Up next is hole number 12, only half a season.

From the previous season you must sell your best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and striker (Av.R wise) and replace them with a Chinese player. No other transfers in are allowed apart from ones needed for the challenge. These Chinese players must play every game unless unavailable. If there aren't enough Chinese players on the database then an Asian player will suffice but only if there aren't enough Chinese. Must not lose any game in all competitions until Jan.31.

Another day, another challenge on our golf course

 

I felt this is a continuation of hole 11 so I've kept the same tactic and just raised the defender in the middle to DM position and changed one CD to BPD. Went all season long on counter.

So this is a screenshot of my tactic right in the middle of my annual injury crisis.

 

We had to sell our best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and striker from last year, so I will put the transfers up on this one: Donnarumma (GK) went to Wolves, Zubeldia (ST) to AC Milan, McInenrnay (AMR) is due on player exchange at the end of the season and also Nanclares (CD). The last two could't sell as they were injuried. McInernay 2 months and Nanclares 8 months.

Who do I got in exchange?

Goalkeeper, Yao was on my squad for 5 years and never played a game. He didn't make the cut for 30 men squad on hole 10 so I've sold him... just to see he is the best Chinese GK on the market... good!

Defender, Liu was my 3rd option but the other two never got the work permit so...

Liu at the end of the challenge, 37 games so he missed 4 games due to being tired as he did play most of the games 90 minutes on the pitch. Maybe 5-10 games was subbed off in the 70th minute.

Midfielder, Zhao was my 7th option. 3 didn't want to sign and 3 didn't get the permit. When i say didn't get the permit it means around 5 tries. Zhao and Liu were even late at the party, missing one or two games from CWC even though I started my transfer window from February. 

Zhao at the end of the challenge, 3 goals, 9 assists in 29 games. Only 29 games as he had two injuries, one of two weeks and one huge of two months.

Striker, Xu. Xu was from the first Asians I've signed in my pursuit of Asian army on hole 10 and did stay on my reserve squad for 2 or 3 years but never got a game. Sold him and got back last season as I've made a mistake. Sold him back on player exchange in February to Charlton for a rubbish player that I then released. And got him back again now... what a ride.

Xu at the end of the challenge. 40 games so only missed one game. 22 goals and 7 assists. I would say it's real good. He did stay on the pitch 60-80 minutes every game.

Hello and welcome to my attempt, at this point I’m just happy if I don’t mess up a hole, me stupidly just getting on with it and not reading things properly hasn’t been good so far 😂

So I could actually do the transfers as in and out instead of doing them all together as I finally didn’t have any player exchanges. I could not sell Velasco even though he’s awesome so had to loan in and will continue to do so until his contract runs out or if I can exchange him next summer. I released Hwang because at this point I have a ridiculous amount of money.

So this is how we lined up most of the time, I didn’t have an A or B team this time so I just changed players each game except my Chinese lads, which I won’t be doing again as I hated the relationships not being green everywhere.

So not bad looking but they improved a hell of a lot over the season, especially Zhang who literally looked nothing like that for most of the season.

So not taking you month by month here as I’m actually working, so trying to be fast. We did this with relative ease to be honest, we haven’t lost much since I took over and it helped that we had an easy group in the champions league. So we achieve a BIRDIE
