Badge 4 - Three Wise Men Unveiling

This challenge is well outside my comfort zone. Not sure how I'll get on trying to assist with 3 players whilst scoring with the one. Because of this I'm not going to be too risky with my team and selection of players. Hopefully "playing it safe". Apologies for the lack of uniqueness, but here goes... 

Sticking with City here as 3 of the players I've chosen for this challenge are already at the club. No prizes for guessing who the others aside from Jesus are... 

DB and BS (🤭) have the greens in all the right places for this challenge imo. And finally... 

Now I know I said I wasn't taking risks, but in The Deadly Duo challenge he managed to assist 30+ goals a season, so I know he's capable, even with just 13 creativity. He'll mainly be playing an IF role this season though, so I'm just hoping he doesn't score too many!

Badge 4 - Mid-season Update

Thought I'd split this one into two halves. We started off incredibly, but my dreaded December/January curse just struck (there seems to be a running theme here...) and we are struggling at the moment. Still on target for a semi-decent score, but only if the team picks up its old ways again... And soon! 

Sons been a disappointment all round as well imo. Seems to really dislike the IF/Wide AP roles, atleast in my current tactic.

Thanks mate. Had won all of my games bar 1 loss to Utd pre-December. Jesus sitting on almost 2gpg till then. So frustrating...

Badge 4 - Three Wise Men End of Season Update

Transfers In

No idea who Aguilar is. Definitely didn't sign him myself 😂 Bug? 

Transfers Out

This season was, without a doubt, the most stressful I've ever played. The latter half of the season was peppered with injuries for our lads, and Aguero also destroyed the entire squads morale singlehandedly as he became disgruntled about warming the bench. This lead to alot of bad losses and draws. Luckily, it didn't seem to stop Jesus too much though.

We were looking okay come January but I felt the need to make a couple of slight changes. I stopped using Wide APs and instead swapped them for IFs, and also stopped using WITB. Here's how that worked out for us:

A whopping 14 draws for us. I think the tactic is sound (may even use something very similar for a 1K actually) and the bad results can be blamed mainly on morale and lack of depth on the wings. 

Finished 2nd overall, but that doesn't matter too much... 

I tried not to check on the numbers too much as the season went on, and I was sure I'd have to restart the challenge. I was really surprised at how they ended up. I was very disappointed with Son however, but just glad he hit the benchmark. 

Score - 62 + 34 + 15 + 22

Total - 133 points

Very surprised at how well we did in the end. KDB with an amazing 34 assists. He was my corner taker but we didn't seem to score many of them really. I will definitely re-attempt this challenge at some point with the adjusted tactic, and maybe swapping out Son as I think we can do much better!

Cheers peeps. I'm starting out with the same tactic as my Redknapping save, but rather than 2-5-3 I'm pushing up my RP into the Trequartista role for Bruno. Tactic might prove too leaky for the prem mind

Badge 5 - Bruno's New Year Party

I loved this challenge and really want to give it another go with a slightly different approach. I used a very similar tactic to the one for my Redknapping save and I know I could get more of of Bruno than I did this season. Anyway, here's how things went down:

Of course, he did really well but I know we can get better The Tactic was a little hit and miss as I had 3 men up front. I really want to try again, but need to concentrate on getting the other badges first.

Below is how we lined up for the majority of the season. I did try a few other bits, and originally I had Rashford central too but he really didn't perform for me there. 

Score - 42 + (40 x 2)

122 points

Yeah this is a tough one for sure. Not too fussed about score so long as I get the Badge. My main aim is to develop a solid 1k Tactic

Well, I scraped it by one goal. I adjusted my tactic for the last 15 games or so and went gung-ho which helped me decide my 1kc tactic also.

Same with me. I went gung-ho and it seems to be doing better than a well structured real life football
