The lads scored 220 goals combined this season, which is 20 more than our previous best. Badji had a blinder, but they were all at the top of their game.

 

Final Thoughts

If we're lucky, we'll get a couple more seasons averaging 60 each, then a couple averaging 50 each, then a couple averaging 40 each. That would put them all in the mid 900s. We'd probably need a couple more seasons to finish it off at that point, meaning we need a total of 8 more seasons - and they'd be 37 or 38 years old.

Pellegri still won't sign. I think it will go down to the final days of his contract (2 more seasons) before he'll hopefully renew.

Maybe it is possible, but I still have a lot of doubts I'll get all three to that point. I guess another big season now would help, so I should stop worrying about this and just get on and play!

So Pellegri just turned 31 and after that, he was happy to sign a new contract - 5 years, after which he's planning to retire.

Nice! I think they should still be able to get a good amount of goals even with there attributes deteriorating hopefully mate, I have confidence if anyone can get 3k it’s you 😝

I am fairly sure you’ll be able to convince him to reconsider retirement if it’s anything like previous games...so this should be awesome.

Thanks @Rob and @Rich - it's great to have the support of the wrestlers! 

The other two won't renew, but they have 3 years left, so they should hopefully renew after they turn 31 or so. Then, just need them to reconsider. I tried that only once this year, with Ronny, but he was like "Nah, I'm good", so hope this lot don't follow his lead! Not sure about the timing - I normally wait until I want to sign them to a new contract, but maybe I'm better doing it now.

Yeah, he's doing the best again this season (the one I'm playing now). It's really hard to work out why. Some of it is because I move their position or penalties etc, but that only explains a bit, and some seasons someone just goes all out while the others cruise... No idea why...

Yeah, it could be a mental thing, less/more pressure, or just everything around them clicking.

Okay, going to do the season 12 update later tonight. I won't bother including it in the update, but may as well mention that Livakovic retired and I got a son. He wasn't particular great looking (so mediocre it seems I didn't bother with a screenshot), but we'll see how he turns out.

What position was he? If he’s a striker you have to do a 1k with him sorry mate 😂

Sorry mate, he was a CM, with Yellow for CD, so I retrained him there. He probably won't be good enough to compete with the players I have, but maybe he has a chance in defence (if he improves his very average 10 Pace).

I looked at some old saves where I had sons in FMM20 and they all had the same PA and it wasn't great (very low 4 stars), so I sort of suspect sons are pretty limited talent-wise. Might be different this year, but I can't seem the having touched that part of the game to be honest.

We all know how FMM love to throw a spanner in here and there so this is seriously good! Congrats on that, Sir.

It's a shame 'Lil Scratch isn't a striker or by the way you're describing, good enough to make any real use of. That could've been fun. I haven't managed long enough in a career to even see what my FMM child would be like.

Well, to be fair, I don't think I could have done this anywhere else. Every so often there have been games where we go a couple down and any other league we'd probably lose - but we are just so far above the competition here that we end up winning 5-2... But thanks.  

Yeah, even if he was a striker, I don't think I'd stick around to see him get to 1K. 12 seasons in is a long way already and I might have to do another 6 to 8, but by then I'll be desperate to do something else!

Back once again.

We sold a couple of older players, including Kaio Jorge. He'd been a great backup, but there's only so many aging strikers you can have at a club and we have our quota already!

We won everything again this year, scoring 171 goals in the league (8 down on our best):

They are all showing signs of degradation now, but it's only very minimal so far:

We've had that long climb to the top of the roller coaster and we've crested the top and are just slowly starting that decline - going to pick up speed soon. Scary...

 

Injuries

Once again Esposito and Badji live up to their very rarely injured tag. It's always Pellegri who gets the worst of the injuries, but this year it was only a 3 week injury:

It was a Euros year, so I lost Esposito and Pellegri for a month to that (Italy won it, so no early flight home for either of them).

A very good season, but down a little on the last couple of years, which is probably to be expected at this stage.

 

Final Thoughts

So, 300 each to go, but things are going to get rocky soon. I expect a couple of decent years though, so we'll keep pressing on and hope for the best.

Thanks mate. I'm still not sure I believe, but I think there might be a chance. Who knows. Who cares really, I like ambitious targets and if I fall short, it was still worth a go!

Thanks mate. We have a true world class team in a very very weak league and the tactic seems to work really well (at least with a team this strong), but yeah, even I'm surprised by how well we're doing (even though I set that really ambitious target),

Thanks mate. Might be starting to believe. New update coming shortly, but decent season. It's going to come down to whether I can get them to reconsider retirement and sign new 5 year contracts as I don't think we'll get it down with the current ones.

As for the numbers, China is a really really weak league in this game - it's a lot of fun as there's so many goals, but not much challenge. I'm up to 550+ games in a row undefeated! I get the odd draw, although I think my best winning streak is 197 or something - it's just crazy. The only challenging games are the Club World Championship ones, which gives you 3 or 4 challenging games - but clear those ones and there's no other challenge. 

EDIT: We're not even underdogs in those games because of our world class squad - "Beijing have a slight edge over Real Madrid":

He's good enough for the Chinese league already, but he is WAY behind our first team players, so there's no way he's getting anywhere near the team. First priority has to be the targets.

Season 13

Back once again. With the ill behaviour.

Got rid of some fringe players, didn't buy anyone (and no worthwhile youth this year)...

 

Results

We won everything again this year, but only scored scoring 142 goals in the league (37 down on our best):

We also won the Club World Championship again, beating Barca, Bayern and Real Madrid along the way (I rested the lads for these games to keep them fresh for weaker defences):

The Lads

Still looking great, but their physical attributes are starting to drop and both Pellegri and Badji have lost a little Movement compared to their top:

Fortunately they score a lot, so they get development points after every game. While they can't get an update, keeping the green bar full keeps the downgrades away (to a degree).

 

Injuries

Only one injury this year and for a change it was Badji rather than Pellegri:

Also worth mentioning - for the first time Italy didn't pick Pellegri for the ITN games in the European off season. These always clash with league games, so I lose both Esposito and Pellegri, but this time they let me keep Pellegri. And bonus: he scored 8 goals in the first two games he would have missed.

Around the same as last season, despite scoring 30 less goals in the league! I'll take that.

 

Final Thoughts

Esposito and Badji have 5 full seasons left on their contract, while Pellegri only has 4. All are planning to retire and the end of their contracts.

I don't think that's going to be enough time with the obvious degradation that's coming. I'll probably play next season out and then ask them all to reconsider and sign up for 5 more years. Or maybe I will leave it another year before asking (so I get 7 more years instead of 6). Not sure yet.

Anyway, we'll see what happens next season.

Anyway awesome going, less goals but same amount going through the boys is great, there still looking good as well. Hopefully they keep going mate 🤞🏻
