Another fine season. Ekefele still has time on his side, hopefully he gets over this stroppy stage.

  • Vilca was brought in as he was one player who i liked but never used.
  • Torres and Herrera are decent squad players who ranked highly in my scout's report.  
  • Nkunku was brought in at the expense of Allan Saint Maximin who was shipped out to Leipzig, having dropped down the food chain.

Champions League

We had cruised past many teams including Barcelona and Dortmund till we reached semis against Man City.

We were outplayed in the away leg and our dreams of appearing in the final was fast evaporating but come home leg and our two monarchs decided to create their own destiny:

A tremendous performance from Cherki who hit a brace and an assist and was ably supported by Efe who picked up an assist and a goal for himself.

So, Cherki hitting two consecutive braces to gift us the trophy.

We managed to qualify for the Euro 2024 and also a shock defeat to Poland in the qualifiers.

He continued increasing his wages and now earns a massive 170K/week. If he was not my main guy, i would have kicked his butt out of Portugal.

Cherki remains a model professional, playing in his old wages and outperforming Efe.

Ya I am. It's just that commitments to VPL and TTR has put this one on backburner a bit so seasons are taking longer to complete.

We went all the way into the final of the Euros but failed against Spain while in the Nations League, we fail to progress to semis after a loss to Portugal.

Thanks guys. Yes, Efekele's shooting has not increased substantially as i would have liked, so it needs to increase significantly.

This is great. I've never been able to master the IF tbh (a bit like the strikerless formations too). I'm a wingers sort of guy so your results are fascinating. 

I've been tempted to use Cherki in the past but as a striker. His aerial is just too low for me to go there. Great returns from him.

Low aerial strikers actually work really well with IFs, so you being a wingers guy and not getting them to work makes sense

I meant that I'd like to use Cherki as a CF. The low aerial doesn't matter to me from an IF or W stand point.  I'm not that dumb. 😂😳

Strikers with low aerial are complemented by IFs - I wasn't saying that the aerial for an IF doesn't matter
