Great start mate, that's a massive season.

Interesting point about the IFs. I never use them because they score too much, but I guess when there are 3 strikers in the box, they are more likely to pass than shoot? Makes sense I guess. I use the Ws out wide but play through the centre - they still get a decent amount of crosses, but I also think they drag some defenders wider and make more space for the 3 strikers... Gotta love the variety of this game.

Anyway, looking forward to you smashing the rest of this.

That's a massive first season! Some amazing results in there.

I'm guessing you're not going to be able to shore up the defence that much when you're only playing 2 CBs. You tried dropping a midfielder down to a DMC or does that take away too much from the attack? Or even using a BWM in midfield over a CM?

Only just getting back in to this one and going to post season 2 now.

Yeah the inside forwards to score a decent amount but they also pass to the strikers and it’s a lot more “simple” of a goal rather than a cross in. Especially when these players aren’t the best in the air so it works well. I have tried witg wingers in the past but haven’t got it going, I think I may try in the future. Cheers scratch 😁

Yeah I don’t think I’ll get the defence looking any good in this one. I have used a DM when I did my derby one and it takes away a bit from the strikers. So I think I’m going to keep all out attack for this challenge in particular. I have experimented too much on season 2, and the roles in the middle are different, but still no BWM 😂

Season 2

Well here I am, finally back with an update. I’ve really struggled to get in to the game lately, so started back with this one yesterday properly. I have decided this will just be a peak years career now as I don’t think I’ll get 9 years out of this one at minimum. What I do if I find it hard to play, is I don’t look in to how the players are doing individually so it gets me looking forward to the end to see. Anyway enough about that, let’s see how we did and if we could build on last season.

Transfers

Some amazing signings and probably one of my best ever transfer windows. We built up a lot of players value in the first season as they had done great, Van Ginkel was worth 103m. My plan was to use wing backs but it didn’t get past 5/6 games and Alphonso Davies was soon on loan at PSG. Also there’s a couple of pages of loans we have sent out missing but Chelsea have a massive reserve squad.

Set Up

So this is how I was set up towards the end of the season, this changed a lot throughout the season. I tried a lot of different combinations. I always tried the Inside forwards as WM next to the midfielders for the last 3 games.

The set up itself should explain its self, let’s attack as much as we can and surely the strikers will score a ton load of goals.

So plenty of bloody goals again isn’t there. Which was lovely, but like I said earlier I have no idea at this moment if this means they’ve gone to the strikers, will only know when I screenshot the stats😁

So some massive wins in there, 9-1 against Leicester being the best, but another 3 with a 8-0 score and I realise now there not in order but I CBA to change it.

So the GPG comes down but still very happy with that, hopefully can keep that going for the 5 seasons.

The Lads

So a bit of a drop goal scoring goal use but now that this is a peak years challenge we for a lot of assists in there as well which is nice. Gomez was outstanding, he’s a great player.

Great stuff mate, but not sure about this "haven't been able to get into the game" thing - how is that possible? Are you scaling back to only 5 saves on the go at once? Bit worried about where this is going...

I know, I can’t get in to the game as much at the moment, what is happening to me? Maybe I started too many games at one time. Once I finish this one, I have my Celtic and Luzzi ones, they may have to wait though as I have a plan for a DT....

Anyway, just opened this game after the VPL, hoping I can finish the next 3 seasons in next few days.
