I think it should apply also at the date of departure, all the bonuses so far worked like that. But on this matter I'm only the assistant so let me check with the boss.

I will add some info here, the destination was Wolfsburg. Braunschweig is 18 miles from Wolfsburg. See trips that Chelsea forgot to add, he had 354 miles in the bank.

Rule Change Announcement

As I was saying at the beginning of the game, this is the first edition and my first game done on Vibe so be sure there will be some changes. 

I only today realised that there is a big mistake, or gap, in the rulebook that only comes into play at this later stage: as players finish their routes there will be less players and the same amount of bonus points so you can win the game by finishing your route the last because you will get more bonus points. To address this issue the following rule will be added starting next season:

There are 5 bonus points each season (biggest transfer fee received, biggest win, highest scoring draw, most league points, least league goals conceded). However, the number of bonus points available should be always at least one less than the number of players. The bonus that is removed is the one that is the most won by the player who finishes te route. 

Example: right now there are 6 players and 5 bonus points, next season there will be 5 players as @Chelseaplchamps2022 finished his route and only 4 bonus points available. The bonus point that will be removed will be the highest scoring draw as this was the bonus won the most by Chelsea.

This rule is in place so the available points in each season is constant. Each player retains equal chances of winning the game.

You could do it as a choice, so the player finishing their route chooses which one to remove.

Well my season hasn't gone to plan. No where near enough miles from home, so got to take a detour. 

Plently of miles available for this route. Still around a season and half/two seasons from home now.

Jonny is a purely tactical choice as he retires end of the season.

I get that when I try to upload at work sometimes, but almost never on mobile
