Chat Has anyone won PL, first season after promotion?

Hi all, I keep getting distracted from the career I started to post by messing around with other saves and tactics... in doing so I very nearly won the Premier League straight after promotion with a fairly unremarkable team! I managed this in FMM20 fairly late in my career once I had my tactic nailed. Has anyone achieved this in FMM21? I probably would have managed it here if not for my tinkering!

Not on this installments no however i have found the later in a save you are ie 10 years the easier it gets to go back to back promotions etc due to the free agents on offer. On 2020 i managed to take Bolton from league 1 straight to premier league glory however never been able to do it again. 

 

What tactic you using dude?

very happy to see that mate! looks like a good re-version of the offensive side and i hope you keep performing well with that, its true RP in the dm is killing it if its well surrounded defensively.

@StuartM the tactic looks interesting . Im curious of your iwbs - do they cover the midfield ind the center ? If so are you not then vulnerabel in defense on the sides/wings?

Hi Anders, do you mean the first screenshot?

It didn't seem to be especially vulnerable on the wings but I probably only used that for about 10 games at the start of the season. The intent with that one is to free the BBMs to bomb forward into the space behind the striker pushing up.

On the second, I have "borrowed" heavily from Matias but the deeper IWBs really seem to help the RP to perform. The BBMs also work pretty well. I went for a DLF to help bring the BBMs and IFs in to play but he still seems to play quite high up the pitch.

I had a tactic based on your IWB one too! I just found I got outscored on a different save with a weaker team. I might yet go back to that at some point.

Yes IT was with the first one :)! 

i tend to use iwbs alot but sometimes the tactic gets vunarble with Them playing midfielders i Guess it Aldo is combined with the tactical style / setup of mentality
