Welcome to my latest career and it’s a challenge that excites me, this is a challenge created by @Scratch which can be found Here.

Team

• To earn your badge you need to manage Borussia Dortmund for two seasons.

Players

• First season: Haaland, Sancho, Bellingham, Reyna and buy one more player who is 20 or under at the time of purchase (screenshot needed).
• Second season: The same 5 players from the first season and buy one more player who is 20 or under at the time of purchase (screenshot needed).
   

The Fifth Player

 

So we bring in little known Gonzalo Plata as the 5th player, which must make you think what formation is this delicious Welsh man playing? well i wont be going in to until the end of the challenge to keep you all guessing. Will my plan work? Not sure, we shall see.

Transfers

 

So luckily they have a lot of money to spend as I did not like the squad at all if you can tell, I think we’ve strengthened every position very well and I’m hoping they can compliment the chosen 5. I’ve used most of the players I’ve used so I know what to expect.

Conclusion

So I’m looking forward to trying to get the best out of 5 players, something I’m not entirely sure of and I’m ready for the challenge. Keeping 5 fit and happy and also scoring and assisting should be a nice challenge. I will be back with an end of season update tomorrow most likely.

Yeah he looks very decent for his age in all the right positions, I’ve got him on a Celtic save and he looks very good but I didn’t have him from the start so looking forward to seeing how he develops.

Staffel Eins

So I was going to do the whole thing in German but then I remembered I don’t speak German. Anyway I was looking forward to this season and I’ve managed to get it done over the last day.

Transfers

So I had posted transfers earlier but we sold a few players in Jamey and only made loan signings in the hope of keeping the money made and getting good players next year. I have areas I will want to strengthen. I did have a really small squad by the end though and had injuries all over the shop.

Results

So a decent league campaign but the cups really let us down, that second round game especially left me fuming, proper FMM’d there. We lost to PSG a total of 4 times, even in the group stage. We could beat everyone else, including Man City twice in the first knockout stage. We also scored over 30 goals in the group stage.

All The Fixtures

Some big wins and some very consistent months to be fair. Just PSG and Leverkusen fcuk us up really l. I just notice it’s not in order but I am not changing it now 😂

Injuries 

 

So injuries to the players weren’t that bad but the whole team suffered, I haven’t had that many small injuries for a while. The worst bit was we didn’t get the extra games in the cup, so we could have done without these injuries.

How They Did

 

So they all nearly reached the benchmark just Reyna to get, I’ll be hoping to get a few more games out of players as two didn’t even reach the 40 mark due to being wimps. I haven’t added up the score, but I’m sure it’s alright. Not worried about the scoring benchmarks, I’m worried about the champions league and PSG 😥

Player Reveal

In comes this man, didn’t think I could get him, but spent a huge majority of my budget on him, plus James Maddison who was pretty awesome first season. I’m hoping this man can have a massive impact and score a few goals and assist a few as well.

The Others Stats

 

So I just wanted to show you how awful I am at developing players by the looks of it, I’m sure 3 of the 6 players are going backwards under my management 😂

A nice opening season and good luck for the second with Fati there to help.

It was the stamina with Haaland on mine that surprised me as it just seemed to go from like 12 right up to 17 or 18 very quickly at some point towards the end of the first season. He was much easier to manage in the second season as he could play a good few full games.

Haaland went awesome fast for me on last years game, he looks very decent now though and luckily all the players look pretty decent in the second season 😁

Thanks Scratch, you shall soon find out how we done, the champions league will be a hindrance for a few I think, the luck of the draw will come in to it for sure!

Season 2

Hello guys and welcome back to my attempt at babe on babe action. We had a pretty decent first season but hadn’t secured the champions league final, which was expected as we weren’t strong enough yet. Let’s hope the second season faired better.

Transfers

So was very happy with my transfers, we were strong everywhere now not like first season, Konate and and surprisingly Mbemba (Newcastle Legend) did great for us, both averaging over 7.50 from CB.
 

The loans in were very important as all of them had very good stats and I didn’t think they should be on the loan market. Especially parrot, already 20 shooting, Saka 18 crossing, Jones good all round so they made great back ups.

Grealish is someone I wanted to use and I had to sacrifice Maddison who was awesome first season, he only played 2 games for Barca after leaving👎🏻
 

Locatelli and Cristiane came in January as we agreed to sell a couple of players but they didn’t play a minute in the end.

Fati being the main man coming in to wasn’t as expensive as I thought he would be, I initially made offers for him and Greenwood but Greenwood said no like a lot of players, who just did not want to follow me to Dortmund.

The League

So another league title, not as good as previously as Bayern really pushed us, we scored more though and were dangerous all round. An enjoyable campaign league wise.

Domestic Cups

 

So we won the super cup relatively easily against a good Leipzig side, nothing to do with the red card I promise. The semi final against Bayern was frustrating as we had plenty of efforts on goal but to no avail. Now let’s get down to the important stuff.

Champions League

 

So no difficulty here and what was most pleasing is we beat Liverpool home and away which was great as I thought we would struggle against the pace. This gave me confidence going in to the knockout stages.

 

So a nice draw against Lazio, we won easily away but made things hard for ourselves at home, hopefully another good draw in the quarters?

Again the first leg 3-0 up and we concede 3 and I was thinking the worst, luckily a couple of goals and a late away win, meant we would playing in the semi final.

 

So what on paper was the toughest test was actually the easiest as we blew away Barca, I wasn’t that worried about this one as they lack pace in the team and I always do well against them kind of teams. So we reach benchmark for this. Can we grab the extra 20?

 

So won it but not the easy way, made things incredibly difficult again by not taking chances, but a nice hat trick for young Fati as he ended up tearing them apart. So that’s 20 points in the bag, it’s just seeing how the boys done now. 

P.s I got lucky with the draws I had, no PSG thank god 😂

The Boys

 

So they all reach the benchmark which is pleasing, I have not added up my scores yet, so this should be fun. They were all pretty well involved all season which was very nice.

Score

League Points - 92 + 89 = 181

Goal Difference - 68 + 83 = 151

Haaland - 53 + 61 = 114

Plata - 51 + 49 = 100

Sancho - 38 + 32 = 70

Reyna - 22 + 35 = 67

Bellingham - 30 + 22 = 52

Fati - 19 + 16 = 35

Champions League Win + 20

TOTAL - 790

So very happy with that total, took a long time to add all that up. You can double check if you want, very enjoyable in the end.
