Chat Tackle Intensity

I always just keep mine on normal, I haven’t tested with this much, but I don’t want them not going in for tackles and I also don’t want red cards, so normal sounds the most logical for me.

I normally play high pressing, and I had it on committed until I read something here on Vibe suggesting not, because you don't want your defenders to dive in high up the pitch. He suggested cautious for high-pressing, but that went against my original logic that getting stuck in would win the ball high up the pitch more often, taking it off of the opponents backline, while cautious might make the press easy to break. So like you I've been playing on normal recently, because I was most confident in that one.

I generally find that lower tackling is better with high pressing and vice versa. Pressuring the ball is a way to win it without tackling, and if you aren't pressuring you are waiting and picking your moment more carefully.

Also, high pressure and hard tackles is a nightmare for condition/stamina/bookings.

Ok, thanks. That explains why the gegenpressing preset has cautious tackling.
