So after a short break, we are back, with some tactical tweaks...

Season 11

Transfers

Very little transfer activity, the team is already stacked, and if I try to sign anyone, the whole squad kicks off and starts moaning, so I gave up. Hitchman was too annoying, so he got sold, despite being very good.

Manager History

Somehow lost in the FA cup semi to Liverpool, after beating Real 10-0 on aggregate in the Champions league.

On the international front, things went quite well

An absolutely huge season, 105 goals! I had a rethink of my tactic, and Inverted wing-backs made a huge difference, as every time we attack we get the ball back.

Best Performers

Trent benefitted the most from the formation change, but he is on corners as well so it is hard to tell.

The attributes are insane, signed him on a free as well!

So, overall, Delap has scored 602 goals in 582 games, as can be seen in this lovely excel screenshot:

So we only need 398 more goals, which at the current rate should take around 4-5 seasons, which would make him 33, so fingers crossed for no decline!

Awesome season mate! And the tactical changes paid off big time. That Cracknell may be the best player I’ve seen, that is amazing, he could literally play any position with them attributes 😍

That regen looks like Rooney, I have seen someone trained Rooney's regen to light green in all attributes.

Sold my Suarez regen and kind of regretting now, he won world player of the year! Don't really know why I signed Costa, and Ermes and Da Silva are quality back line additions.

A solid season, not as good as last year, but still decent! I don't think his attributes have actually improved, he just got injured and I forgot to get the screenshot

Best performers

Some good performances, Trent still going, as is James!

Now, two more of my favourite regens

Giovinco has had a resurgence as of late, and Tear is now my first choice keeper now Onana and Simon are ageing

So, Delap has now scored 685 goals in 649 games, as seen in this table

So we still need 315 more goals, with probably 2 or 3 more years at his peak, so still hoping it is possible!

Some good performances from some of the players, Mendes de Campos especially

But, the regen showcased is a KDB regen I believe

So, at the end of Season 13, the "legendary striker" Delap has 774 goals from 723 games, at a rate of 1.07 GpG

A below average table:

Hopefully should get this finished in the next few seasons, barring any major injuries or setbacks. I changed the tactic slightly this year, although it didn't really make that much of a difference.

After almost 3 months, we are back as I am determined to finish my first 1kc

Season 14

If I am being honest, can’t remember that much about this season as played it a while ago, but that makes this write up more entertaining!

Only 2 youngsters signed I think, with my 4th choice left back leaving. We had a bunch of people planning to retire at the end of the season, but the squad is very strong I think.

Manager profile and history

Apparently we won everything again, and the profile is looking nice, apart from domestic player bias of course. If someone has ever got 20 domestic bias and discipline please send me a screenshot as I don’t think it exists

This made me question why I left this for so long, his best season so far with 82 goals in 61 games plus 14 international goals. I’m fairly sure I switched to a system using inverted wingers which helped.

Best Performers

Somehow an ancient Reece James with 8 pace got the most assists, by a large margin, and he has just retired after his best season for me. 
 

So, Delap has now got 870 goals from 794 games at a GpG of 1.10, as can be seen below

So hopefully with no major injuries or regression this should be done in 2 more seasons, I have got a bit of motivation back now so should be able to smash through it.
