Season 3

Can officially say if you are considering using Delap, get a good mentor and improve his stamina, he is never fit.

I love Kris Ajer, has a great personality and is very good, and often cheap! Most of the others are for the future, as our budget is not big enough to attract players who will improve the team yet

So champions league football arrives in West Bromwich! Actually outplayed tottenham in the FA cup, but Delap can't hit a barn door

Delap

Now onto the man who for literally every fixture is overly relaxed, even the FA cup final

He is improving, but misses loads of chances, and the team isn't quite good enough for him to really kick on yet, and he has no stamina. Well, I wanted a challenge. I think if and when we eventually win silverware and boost reputation it will improve, but we can only hope!

So that puts him on 56 goals from 105 games, at a rate of 0.533 GpG

So only another 226 goals to go before passing old Tony

There have been so many games where hes had loads of headers and shots, but misses them all, surely must be affected by the overly relaxed personality? But thanks mate, hoping next season will be a good one, the budget is much better.

We made a big leap this season in terms of team success, but in terms of Delap, not so much.

Sold Pino and Ugarte for cash, Bailey was very good, and Mousinho was a regen with 18 crossing. Angelino and Cakir were good, and Barella isn't great strangely

Won the premier league on the last day of the season, by 1 point! And somehow we won the champions league, but lost to Brighton in the Carabao cup

Delap

Still haven't completely worked out how to use him, but I am prioritising team success over individual to make sure we have enough games and are able to get good enough players, so next season might be the one.

So Delap has scored 90 in 152, at a rate of 0.592 GpG, so only 190 goals to go

Great going mate. This is just the start. According to Batigoal’s theory, every goals before the age of 20 is a bonus which means you’re at the right path.

About Barella, I do notice he gets huge decline right after he joined my club. It seems like he have some kind of low adaptability that @Scratch was talking about but it seems to be happening only if you buy him on season 3+ which is very weird to me but his attributes came back after about 2 updates and it should be easier to get in the Premier League compared to me currently in the Scottish League.

Yeah thanks mate, I am still struggling to find a tactic that works though. 

And barella is improving for me, but it was so strange that Inter let him go for only 12m, when normally he is 80+. The system I was using also meant he didn't really get high ratings as well I think which may not have helped

He does look superb, with that Aerial and Movement should bag more, hes goals number increased season by season but I bet he can do a lot more.

I don't think so, but he has already been out for over two months and its February, which isn't great

Go to sclub staf and the physios tab, is the last one, and then tap on the prevention physio name and it will show you which players are prone to injury

Finally it has happened! I have found a working tactic!

After the success of last year, we were able to afford some world class players, in TAA, De ligt and Fernandes. Losada is a messi regen I think, and Hitchman was Delap's backup

No one individual stood out in terms of assists with multiple in double figures

Lost to Barca in the champions league, and Man City in the Carabao cup when my tactic was really awful at the start of the year (CWC still ongoing)

Things started awfully, as I kept messing with the tactic to try and improve it and then injuries hit (1 for a month, another for 3 weeks) and I thought this would be an awful year. But then...

I found a tactic that worked! in the last 18 games he played, he scored 27 goals, at a rate of 1.5 GpG! If this continues into next year then there is hope! And also his stamina improved by 2 points, despite the injuries and the dreaded "unlikely to improve significantly".

Also won this for I think the fist time in fmm 21

 

So, that puts Liam on a score of 133 goals from 189 games, at a rate of 0.703 GpG

So we are almost halfway there, needing 147 more, and he is only 22, so plenty of time to go

I will be looking to get the England job to attempt the 1Kc, but somehow Southgate hasn't been sacked despite not getting further than the quarters in the World Cup.

Yeah it’s strange as a West Brom fan to see us win games and be favourite for games! I think Harper and Morton were the only 2 players who are at the club at the start who were still there, and they are now gone. Thanks mate

I can see you’ve had your frustrations with Delap but things seemed to go much better there towards the end of this season. Hopefully this a sign of things to come and he can continue this form into next season.

Thanks mate, the continued scoring over the last part has given me hope for the next few seasons. He is still unprofessional and overly relaxed though...

Season 6

Heard good things about Nianzou, so brought him in as my centre backs were ageing a little. Bellingham came in with Castrovilli going the other way and he was immense, and I think Villagrasa is an Iniesta regen, if that is even possible. Simon is really good, and Onana is coming in next year. The large sale was a regen who I was never going to use

Won everything except the carabao cup, in which I can never get past the quarters for some reason, always losing on pens. Only lost one game all season, and won the league with 8 games to go.

Delap

A really good season in GpG terms, but he missed so many games through injury, so he should have got more. However due to the injuries he is now showing as great potential for the future, so he may improve further.

yup, 3 months and 10 days out of action, even missing the champions league final

Best Performers

Dilro still with the most assists, but Bynoe-Gittens is really good now. I always sign Ajer and he is always good.

 

So overall, Delap has scored 185 goals in 239 games, at a rate of 0.774 GpG, and only 95 goals left to go

Hopefully the England job will appear this summer as it is a world cup, as that will add to the 1kc attempt, so I actually want England to be bad for once, knowing FM they will win it.

You seem to be getting torrid luck with his injuries mate, he’s been really good for injuries for me, I wonder what causes it. As your team is now starting to really improve, thing will only get better now, your team is smashing it. Well done 😁

thanks mate, I don't have a clue because he was virtually injury free the first few years. One of the injuries was on ITN duty, so I think Southgate heard I was coming for his job and injured him. The team is mostly hitting its peak now, will be good for a few seasons.
