Chat Staff formations

When you employ staff (Coaches) does the formation actually mean anything because I can’t seem to find out if it does. I would assume for defensive coaches it would help more with positioning or development in general would be better but I can’t find out. Does anyone else know?

FYI, I play a 3-4-3 with inside forwards and a flat 4 across the midfield but can’t find any coaches for the 3-4-3.

Same but why would they add it into the game if it wasn’t is my thought.

Either because it’s a bit of a cosmetic feature that allows people to feel like there coaches have a personality or that it might one day have an impact on the game. If I had to guess I would say it’s the first one but hopefully it’s actually the second.

They do it because if you make a coach your reserves manager they will use that formation, so if you wanted your reserve team to play 3-4-3 you would have to find a coach with that formation and select him as reserves manager.

Not in my experience they don’t. I have found they will play any formation except the one which is listed as there favourite.

What would be a neat feature would be to be able to set your reserves to play the same tactic as the first team.

Yeah I wish you got to pretty much control the reserve team as well to develop players better
