Career A Villains Double Trouble (Season 12)

Introduction 

So after saying I wouldn’t play much over the next couple of weeks I kind of failed on the first day. I have got the Luzzi career and the Celtic TT, but for now I cannot get in to them games. So I’ve decided to do a double trouble which you can find Here.

So I’ve been looking in to this one for a while, moaning and sharing ideas with @Rob about who I should go what players I should use, so I have finally decided. So here it goes.

The Team

 

The team Aston Villa, hope you don’t mind @JamesVilla, it was between any team really but finally picked Aston Villa due to liking the way they play in real life and wanting to use Jack Grealish......I thought, we will get to that when I do my first season update.

The Players

 

So Liam Delap has been on my mind for a long time, he has great starting stats to do the job, the second boy.....not so much, I don’t know much about Layton Stewart at all, he doesn’t look very good, but my staff seem to think he’s promising and should improve. 
 

It could be a bit of a risk with Layton, but we shall see. It’s all apart of the fun and makes it more exciting in my eyes. 
 

Conclusion

Really looking forwards to this one, played half a season already, so I will be back tomorrow with an update no doubt. I’ve needed a game that will get me back in to the game as I have lacked my usual drive.

Loving the fact your using villa. We don't get used very much for challenges etc. 

Lemme know if you need any advice with the current squad! My key bit so far - GET JACK A NEW CONTRACT. Need to get rid of that min release clause ASAP.

Yeah I know, he only came on my radar due to @Rob, I’m 6 months in and signs are promising. He’s starting to improve at a decent pace. Cheers mate 😁

Yeah I’m happy I’ve chosen you now, I feel like I’ve built a very decent squad already, but as for Grealish, you’re not going to be happy, he may have gone, you’ll find out tomorrow 😂

Oooh, nice choices, in my experience Layton Stewart becomes a good striker for a mid-table Prem team, so it will interesting to see how he develops for you.

Stewart looked good towards the end of one of my saves, hence the recommendation. But he does look a bit naff there. Hope you haven’t got a turd version.

Ohh brilliant, thanks for that Ian, he does look alright there, good movement, hopefully a few years of playing can get him good. Thank you 😁

R, I have an idea: start a DT, a 1K and a TT all at once and have a race to see what save you will finish first or which one will you overwrite 😂

This man loves a career! Good luck mate, shame you are using Villa, but can definitely recommend Delap, except he gets tired veeeerry quickly.

I do! Let’s just hope I can stick to this one. Yeah I’ve always wanted to use him, I hope he gets decent stamina with me then, I’ll have to coach him on it at some point maybe. Thanks mate.

Thought you will go with Louie Barry when I see Aston Villa in the title, never heard of Layton Stewart but you won't have any problem getting goals from him

Interesting choice of team and players. I found Delap to be a bit of a pain. Relaxed attitude and was always out of puff. I steer clear of the relaxed attitudes as a rule. The stamina can be worked on. Hopefully he does the business for you though. I've not used Stewart so it'll be good to see what you can get out of him. Best of luck, fella.

To be honest I forgot about him until the season started. But I don’t think he will improve as well as the other two. Well I hope not now😂

Yeah I noticed that just recently, he’s not got the best attitude. But if anyone can get the best out of him, it’s a welsh manager, I’ve finished the first season yesterday. So shall post and let you all know how I done in a bit. Thanks mate 😁

Season 1

Well hello cheeky monkeys, managed to complete a season yesterday with the bad boys Delap and Stewart. Shall we find out how it went then?

So as you can see I had to sacrifice the man I wanted to use the most in Jack Grealish, sorry about that @JamesVilla, but I had to sacrifice him to bring in the players I wanted and needed. Okafor was bough in January as Jack Clarke came and had a 5 month injury but then Okafor got a 3 month injury soon after joining. I decided not to use wing backs this season, so that’s why you see the likes of Cash and Targett go. I am very happy with my squad for the first season though. Pretty strong looking.

Tactics

So I’m usually pretty open about what I create, but I’m not happy with the tactic yet, so I won’t be telling you much about this yet. I didn’t use wing backs this season, but I am planning on going back to wing backs, I think they can help create more chances for the boys up front and in my successful DT last year I did use wing backs.

So a pretty decent first season, we were actually top after 15 games, but fell away after that. We created a decent amount of Chances but conceded far too many, so that’s something I need to work on for the summer for sure, I’m even thinking of a standard 4-4-2, I’ve wanted to make one work for a while now.

Not much to note here, apparently my discipline wasn’t good enough this year, I’m going to turn in a right boot camp genera next year don’t you worry about that.

The Villains Double Trouble

Only 26 between them this year, but I had a plan of not playing them as much this year as I always push players too fast and they get plateaued. So I’m hoping I don’t run in to that, I’m hoping they get better fitness soon as it’s not looking great for them.

Great work mate, Delap does develop very nicely, and stewart looks good! Make sure to mentor Delap tho, he needs it.

Nice base set for next season.

This is what Liam Delap looks like 2 seasons into my Augusta save. I sent him on loan both seasons and he looks pretty decent, with stamina up to 15.

Im not angry, just bitterly disappointed. But, can see why you had to get rid considering the challenge you are doing.
