Career Kickback- Badge 04 Challenge

Hi so i am new to this game and wasn't really thinking of doing all these challenges but i thought why not? It's a fun way to learn right? 😂😅.

This is long pls bear with me 😅

I'll be attempting the Three Wise Men Challenge. Why i am choosing this is because I'm inexperienced so o thought use Manchester City and attempt this since I'll have plenty of cash from the start plus player sales.

I loaded the countries: England, Argentina, Spain and Italy.

So i already started my Save. I haven't played a game yet. But i am now in 12th September. Everything is set-up 👍(except one thing, which I'll get to in a bit)

Manager Profile:

As you can see. Zero games 😌.

My Tactics will be:

I wanna play an attacking game with Flair but also have defensive solidity. Hence this formation. As you can see no wingers. I wanna be assisting Jesus as much as possible so don't need Wingers and Inside Forwards eating my goals.

I don't need my Defense to do anything but have solidity so deep. Rest I'm leaving at default.

This is my atk set-up. I haven't chosen a Final Third instruction cause i wanna see how the games go and then adapt😬.

Alright since that's done, the Transfers.

This are the players i sold. Now, in my Defense i wasn't gonna sell sterling but when i trolled and asked for 200 mil Liverpool accepted so who am i to say no? 😂

This led me to buy Kimmich. Rest of the players i bought are:

I wouldn't be explaining why i bought everyone. That's too hectic lol. I bought two GKs because Ederson wasn't strong in the air and i like my keeper good in air. I bought Full-backs because i find City's fullbacks to be defensively liable. And i bought Young Playmakers who can play on the wings and CDM's who can Anchor.

Alright that's done. Now i said everything is set up except one. The most important. My Wise Men. I will be choosing my first one:

Zaniolo is my 1st Wise men. I just have to play him. I like this guy.

But for my next two Wise Men. I want you, that's right, the community to tell me who i should go for. I'm doing this just to make it more fun for me to play and also for you to read my career thread 😉.

Id pick De Bruyne for sure as one of the three wise men, I’ve had some really nice success with Hagi so he would be my third one👍

I second KDB; stick him on corner duty. Personally I'd stick with the more experienced players for these short challenges! From the others I'd probably go for Foden though as I think he'll be stealing less goals. 

Oh and welcome to the game. These challenges are definitely a great way to introduce yourself to FMM. Good luck!

Alright, Half a season Update.

First things first.

KDB is a Beast!!!! Man is scoring and assisting like it's Sunday Backyard League. That CM Roaming Playmaker role is perfect for him.

22 goals and 18 assist 🤯 too bad goals don't count in this challenge. Really too bad cause

Zaniolo is on a role!! Scoring wise. Not so much in assist.

Hagi has been ok. He's a flat track bully 😂.

Now before i show you my Jesus problem (it's a big one). I wanna show the injuries I've had.

Injuries:

My man Aguero 😕. Didn't even get to try him much.

This guy was so defensively good what a loss 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️.

Don't care was just a back-up 😂

Kimmich and Cancelo lost them for a period but i managed thanks to my great depth.

I've done very imp games coming and game gives my star cb an injury on new years 🤷🏼‍♂️😭.

Ok. Those were the big injuries. Now the matches had some good one's and Zaniolo and KDB always bailing me out. I'll show you two games. Carabao against Man Utd absolutely chaos.

Thank goodness i subbed out Jesus before the shoot-out 😅. Also a 90+3 goal disallowed 😂.

The other match is six days later, in EPL.

They took revenge 😭😅. But I'm leading the table 🤘. Only loss in league till now.

Now my Gabriel Jesus problem!!!!!

He's so bad in my save! Like he misses everything. Zaniolo or Hagi is picking up every rebound and scoring!!! If he was clinical, all my Playmakers would have 15+ assist. 😳😔. I've tried different roles but he can't seem to thrive. He's struggling. Like Really struggling. He's not even good enough to be Vincent Janssen's Replacement right now. He's that Bad.

4 goals. All from Penalties 😳😭. I took Pens off of KDB and gave him. He's missed 5 scored 4. I dunno how to make him better, i tried him as DLF, Poacher, Advance Forward, but no change. 

Any suggestions guys?? Damn i thought I'll flop this challenge cause of assist. Didn't think It would be cause of Gabriel Jesus 😅😂.

Hi Guys!! So i finished my season.

To save you the time, i failed my Challenge 😭😅. Miserably but i enjoyed it. I'll show you why.

I won the EPL, as expected. 😂

I also won the UCL. But i lost the FA and Carabao in Semi's to Tottenham 😂. Some might say i fielded my weaker team lol.

Now my Wise men:

1. Hagi

He got injured in a match with Leicester but in that match, he got an Assist. So...

He fulfilled the benchmark of 10 assists 😅. Disappointed that he got such a season ending injury.

2. KDB:

Man, he is a cheat code. Literally. He's like broken. No one can stop him. He's like the best 😭❤️.

Here's the Proof:

51 goals and 29 assist 😳. But he didn't even win any year end awards 🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️😂.

That's cause 3. Zaniolo:

What can i say?? Man's a beast too. He has only 14 shooting. But he scores a lot cutting in from the right. 55 goals and 17 assist 😳.

The rest of the team, Foden and Ikone are good too. I'd like to try them as starters in another save.

Now here's where the good things end. The bad stuff.

GABRIEL JESUS 😭.

10 goals. 10! That was all he gave me. All from Penalties. I thought of sharing all the penalty match screenshot but decided not to spam. The pain in my heart. 😭. 

My stats. We scored 162 goals. And 106 goals were scored by Zaniolo and KDB 🤯. Bonkers. Sadly, goals don't count 😂. 

So my Total:

Jesus- 10 goals

KDB- 29 assist

Zaniolo- 17 assist

Hagi- 10 assist

Total- 66 points.

Challenge Failed. But i enjoyed the run 👍. Will definitely try again. Very soon. But first I'll try another challenge 😉😂. Maybe the MSN one 🤔😃. Or Bruno.

😂😂😂😂 Man so frustrating. But also, i learned a lot. Thanks to You and everyone who gave me suggestions. I'll try this challenge again. Maybe I'll take wingers as wise men to see if Jesus is more effective. Time to go see how the Challenge Leaders did it 😆.

Yeah I'm thinking I'll try the Bruno Fernandes challenge. But with Jesus as the striker and Bruno and two other's as Wise Men 👀.

It is difficult to get Jesus scoring! Maybe on your next attempt try to use players that aren't so good at scoring 😂

Bad luck mate, but it's a good learning experience. Try new players, tweak with your tactics, and I'm sure you'll strike gold.

True. Was a good learning experience. I've half figured how to use a midfielder 😆
