I was itching for a challenge to do alongside my Augusta attempt and @George Traistă 's COPA90 Derby Days career (Link) inspired me to make a very similar challenge that has a few extra rivalries in there. I will be attempting my version, "The Archrivals Challenge" that can be found here.

Here are all of the derbies that I will need to win in this challenge:

Season 1 (Brescia)

I decided to start this challenge at Brescia, in order to win the Atalanta vs. Brescia derby match. This season was purely about getting promoted to Serie A, and possible getting lucky and drawing Atalanta in the cup (which we didn't).

 

Transfers

A ton of wonderkid loans to strengthen the squad, and a few higher value players sold at the start of the season, while Tonali was sold at the end of the season.

 

Manager

 

Tactic

It decided to play a 4-4-2 Diamond, and it turns out that almost 80% of teams in the Serie BKT were playing it as well.

 

 Team Performance

We finished in second place meaning that we were automatically promoted to Serie A.

 

Notable Matches

Next season we will have the chance to play Atalanta at least twice the first meeting on October 2nd, so hopefully we will win one of them and be able to move on to another club.

I used Turin in the derdby della mole I was winning incredibly But they reassembled In 4 minutes and I got angry and destroyed the phone 😒😒😒😡😡😡

We played the first game against Atalanta in October and we did the business, winning our first derby!

 

Next I left Brescia, and jobs started to come up.

 

The Schalke manager was sacked after I declared interest, but they went with Marco Rose instead.

 

But that turned out to be a great thing because soon the Sporting Gijon job became available, and they offered me the job, which I took.

 

And when I went to look at the fixture list to see when they play Real Oviedo, it was in 9 days!

Don't ever resign again because you need to get points to stay in the top managers list. Stay at the team until a job comes in.

Next rivalry was Sporting Gijon vs. Real Oviedo, and comfortably won the game.

 

And I was only at the club for two weeks, and only managed two games before I was off to...

The next rivalry was the Borussen Derby and we dispatched Dortmund relatively easily.

We also won some bonus rivalries, but they aren't in the challenge

 

The season is now over and two jobs needed came available: St Pauli and Deportivo. I got the job offer for St Pauli and took it.

'

Hamburger got relegated from the Bundesliga so next season we will have the chance to play them at least twice.

Thanks lads! I've been able to get in some really good bosmans for the second tier, hopefully we get the Hamburger fixture early in the season, and can move on to somewhere else.

St Pauli vs. Hamburger SV

The next rivalry was St. Pauli vs Hamburger SV, which was thankfully scheduled on August 5, the second game of the season. A stoppage time winner from Fabio Maistro secured the derby victory.

 

Next stop:

 

Atletico Baleares, who require at least one promotion to get into the same division as Mallorca!

First time I've seen this challenge as the more complex ones make my brain hurt. Looks like fun thing to play.

Yes it is a very fun one to play. The weird thing is that you end up signing the same players a bunch of times, and especially when your only at a club for a matter of weeks, it can feel very weird!
