Career Cabinteely F.C - My Philosophy

CHOOSING THE SQUAD

I have chosen Cabinteely F.C because the size of the club & standing in Irish Football. The club was founded in 1967 but have never won any honours. After recent successful career's, I again wanted to play & test my philosophy.

STADIUM & FACILITIES

On my 1st day in charge, I asked the board to improve the Stadium & Facilities with the board declining this. The club has fairly basic facilities for the 1st Team Facilities & Youth Facilities. The stadium is quite small, only holding 2,000 supporters with an average attendance of 1,000 fans.

STAFF, FINANCE & TRAINING

The training system was delegated to my Assistant Manager Roy Keane. I bought in Roy Keane in addition to a new scout & physio required. The finances are OK after many deals done to improve our chances of promotion.

SQUAD

As you can see below, many transfers were made, mostly into the club to improve our position in the league. A number of players left on free's apart from Vilius who left for £30k. A lot of signings bought in, mostly for relatively low amounts.

TACTIC

I used my Attacking Tiki Taka Tactic for this career with Cabinteely F.C.The tactic started off really well early in the season but tailed off and became quite leaky. The stats indicate our attack was not good enough for this tactic & did not score enough goals.

THE RESULT

My 1st season at Cabinteely F.C was average only achieving a 4th place finish. The board only wanted to improve the squad so this was positive &our defence was solid. This said, our attack was poor and the league fight trailed after an initial winning start.

SEASON 2-EARNED OUR WAY TO PLAY WITH THE BEST

The 2nd season was much better and we achieved automatic promotion to the Airtricity Premier League!🥳 All the stats show how positive the season had been. We even played well in cup competitions, beating a few sides bigger than ourselves.

SEASON 3- REACHING THE TOP

Our 1st season in the SSE Airtricity League & Cabinteely F.C have won it!🥳 We spent heavily this season, mostly to avoid relegation but also to hopefully achieve a high finish in the league. As you can see below, we only won by 1 point but what an incredible achievement!🏆🏆🏆
