Season 11

No incomings this season. Just a lad promoted from our youth. How dull. 🤣

Nor sure why transfers from last season  are showing up again (Wijndal & Bellingham). Made the decision to sell TAA this season though. £97 for a player of his age is good, I think. Risky selling to a rival but it'll be fine, I'm sure. A few others were let go that we signed really young but they haven't made the grade. Managed to make huge profit on them so all's good. 

 

Competitions:

Won everything bar the Euro Super Cup. Barca beat us on pens after we battered them for 90 mins. 😑

Beat Liverpool and City twice each in finals this year. Some of the old boys scored against us but couldn't prevent us winning. 😁

Unbeaten in the League but drew four games which is unusual for us.

After quite a few good seasons, injury wise we were bound to catch a bad one eventually. 

Moukoko suffered two separate three week injuries. Camara missed over two months and Scarlett pulled his hamstring whilst playing for England (😡), missing about two months.

No Awards for Camara this year. Scarlett was Champions Cup top scorer. Moukoko was in the World team of the year, English league top scorer and best player in Europe.

All of Scarlett's issues seem to have gone. I didn't really do anything either. Strange. He stepped up this year though. Just a shame injuries hindered what could have been an epic season for them. Still a good return considering they all missed 10-15 matches each this season, which is massive.

I was going to exclaim about how much of an idiot Scarlett was the previous season, but I guess he's matured a little and woken up to himself!

Season 12

 

We're within touching distance. We need a best ever season of 170 to complete this challenge. Our current best is 168. I feel if I can keep two of them injury free then I have a chance. Here we go.

Decided to sign a few players this season. Haaland left on a free to Real Madrid, he just wouldn't sign a new deal. Replaced him with a Spanish kid who looked awesome! Also signed a CM from Man Utd. Tried to sign him last year but he didn't want to come, this year was successful though.

We sold a few more fringe players. Got really good money for them too.

Finally, we get our perfect League season. Delighted. 😁

Lost in the Community Shield to City. Avenged that by thumping them in the Carabao Cup. Easy win against Chelsea in the FA Cup final. Scarlett scored four against Porto as we whacked them, 6-1 in the Champions Cup final.

I said previously that I could do with at least two of the boys going a full season without injury. That didn't happen. It wasn't too bad but they all had injuries.

Moukoko just had a wee knock. Scarlett missed a total of about 6 weeks whilst Camara was out for just over a month.

Scarlett was selected in the league team of the season. 

Moukoko had a stand out season again. He was in the World team of the year. Won best pkayer in Europe & the World. He was the league and champions Cup too scorer too.

So, we fell short by 11 goals. I won't lie. I'm pretty gutted. I sort of knew in March when Scarlett got his month long injury that it might cost us. Still, a good total I suppose.

Cheers man. Yeah, after my Triple threat last year, where Esposito scored the vast majority of goals i was determined to come up with something that would give all three an equal share of goals. Mission accomplished there.

Nope. Scarlett would occasionally switch from right CF to central if he went through a significant period without scoring (usually around 3 games). That would be during a game though and only if Camara had scored in the match.

A slightly disappointing final season. Good job we only needed 11 goals, eh? 🤣 I love the fact they all contributed equally. Never managed that before. The assists are crazy too, 170, 180 & 189.

 

Some other stats worth mentioning:

Dan James played 265 games for me. Mainly in my League team. His assists for Leeds only; 277.

Reece James played 304 games. Mainly in our European & Cup teams. His assists: 296.

These are pretty good numbers too. They are go to players for me.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this career. That's two personal quests done now. The first was completing a triple Crown challenge with a Welsh player and I've always wanted a long career with Leeds. That's done too. I have a few I still want to have a crack at but I'm not sure when that'll happen.
