Season 2 selections 

Season two required me to sign a Frenchman, which also meant I got to use one of my favourite ever FMM players: Thomas Lemar.

Obviously blessed with excellent attributes he is a vast improvement on Hendricks. Usually I play him on the left, so I will be interested in how he does playing through the middle.

Most importantly, considering my failure to keep Susanna Reid in Italy with me I decided to opt for the nicest older lady in showbusiness.

Carol Kirkwood presents the weather on BBC news, which sort of undersells her. She’s just a wonderful person who just makes you feel happy when you see her on the telly. I am sure she will enjoy her time in Turin.

Season 2 results

Thomas Lemar is a lovely player and really improved the team, so getting better players around him was essential.

I ditched Dybala and signed Haaland in his place as well as grabbing a few more quality additions, namely Isak, CHO, Gaya, and Onana.

Shout out for Singo, who turns in to an amazing player in a few positions. Thoroughly recommended!

A bit of a mixed bag in terms of club results, including an annoying loss in the Champion’s Cup final.

Lemar finished with 41 goals and 50 assists, beating Hendrick’s score. Annoyingly I forgot a photo of him at the end.

Sadly, Carol Kirkwood didn’t stay in Turin very long. Whilst she was absolutely lovely she decided to friendzone me and return to the horrible British weather. Oh well. Better luck next time as I’m going native.

159 points to date, with a nice split between goals and assists.

Lemar was on my list b for season 2 but I had concerns over his physicals. Looks like I was wrong! The Italy segment is proving to be unreasonably expensive due to Juve being a rival with every team somehow

Good crossing, technique, and passing, but below average shooting.

Season 3 results

First off, Monica Belluci is very Italian. By that, I mean she decided that Turin (and me) wasn’t for her and set off to find pastures new somewhere else in the country. Oh well.

On to the important stuff: Pellegrini. I went against the grain a little with this choice as he started with just 9 in shooting… and ended with just 9 in shooting. 

Bringing in a decent supporting cast of players, including Odegaard who I love this year, and reaching the final in everything, you think he’d do the best so far, right?

Sadly not. He is the first of my tens to play less than 50 games and grabbed 32 goals and 30 assists.

109 goals and 112 assists, totalling 221, to date. It’s another Italian next and I have selected one of the obvious players again, but one with much better shooting!
