What's the verdict on training focus boss, do you want to control that or take some player feedback?

I will definitely welcome any player feedback you guys are wanting to provide. Position retraining is unlikely however I will try my best to adhere to any other player-specific requests.

The one and only Erik Lamela - live in the flesh. After growing frustrated with the Spurs’ manager fiasco he decided to leave the team and have a go at it himself! We’ve given him the opportunity, mainly because of the chairman’s slightly worrying obsession with him, and he will lead us for the foreseeable future.

Shame Rich was the first injured, but that was to be expected as his colleagues often say he is work-shy.

Good to see Rob Amazeballs have leadership potential. Again, this reflects real life.

I will do indeed. I won’t hold any player hostage and I also think that the game itself will make it difficult for me to keep a hold of some of the players. Any players who leave the club will be on my shortlist for the duration of the save so we can keep track of their progress every season😄 Speaking of which - @Kun Aguero, fancy any of these?

@L_Dotz - if you do setup “position retraining”, then perhaps just for the 3 x CMs, 3 x AMCs, and 3x IF R/L. From  memory, they are the only players who have yellow familiarity in other positions.

E.g. in a few seasons time, star striker @Rich Davies will have good enough aerial to slaughter the lower leagues (will need to be +15) together with his explosive pace. If so, for fun, you may choose to swap from IFs / IWs (cutting inside onto their preferred foot) into Wingers (staying wide on their preferred foot). It would work better if they were equally familiar in both left & right positions. Controversial.

Just an idea if you choose to invest the extra few mins to set it up.

I agree! Will definitely look to adjust the team accordingly as me move up the leagues and experiment with different player roles/tactics😄

Don’t be a traitor to the cause! At least stay a little longer to further develop your attributes, to ensure you get a 1st team place elsewhere. It would be a waste if you rotted in their reserves! 😄

Right now: 7 for aerial, 11 for strength. That’s a long way away from the +15 you’ll need to beat most opposition central defenders in English League 2 (the old 4th Division).

Especially as you’re already 19 years old in game.

Would you rather have those attribute increases in other areas? E.g. dribbling, passing, shooting, creativity ... to become a more creative (but less goal scoring) option.

Just providing a different opinion. Completely your choice. If you can also get to +15 in both attributes by the time we hit League 2, then you’ll also be dominating defences, so both options work.

Great feedback, I think I'm getting some mentoring from a senior player too! Just like the real Boothy benefitted from 'Rocket' Ronnie Jepson's feedback, it would be wise to take the counsel when offered. Given his pace and technique are already so high, maybe extra shooting practice is in order 👍

MID-SEASON REVIEW:

League Table:

As of now we sit comfortably in 1st and we’re well and truly on the way to promotion and our first league title. Surprisingly the board only expected a mid-table finish.

So far so good! Only one loss which came in our first match - I blame it fully on a lack of squad cohesion and a few too many drinks in the days leading up to the game.

 

Player stats:

We’re going absolutely brilliantly across the board with only 4 “OGs” having an average rating below 7.00 @Rob/Amazeballs @YungGaffer /Yashin@Frimpong Evans and @DanEnglish. Having taken on the suggestion on replacing players based on performance @broodje kip/Sandwich will be slotting into the A team ahead of @Rob/Amazeballs to partner @Rehans/Panjaitan in the heart of midfield. All other players will maintain their current places in the A team.

I’ll get cracking on as soon as I’ve heard from @Titjes and will probably get the season finished tomorrow! I’ll show player growth at the end of each season, as well as any individual/team awards. Also, I will cover any International fixtures once the players have been called up to the senior team. A lot of you have already secured youth caps for your nations!

Any feedback is always welcome - let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to see.

@Rich / Davies - wow. 9 goals in 6 games. Clinical.

@StuartM / Booth - top scorer with 12 goals & 11 assists, admittedly in more games than anyone else (20).

@Kun Aguero / King Zlatan + Sir @Titjes showing exactly why bigger clubs are after them with their 18-19 combined goals + assists each and +8 / 10 ratings.

The back 4 has also got great average ratings (considering half of them can’t tackle).

And don’t worry @Rob / Amazeballs. You’ll be playing next to me now in central midfield. That will make you look much better in comparison!
