I have added a poll to the top of the thread to decide how you guys want to finish the event if it’s a tie. The choices are?

• A 5th challenge.
• The team with the most challenge points over the 4 weeks wins. 
   

A 5th challenge would be a very quick one that only involves playing 10 games.

I’m not saying which team has the most points at this stage and none of this might be needed anyway.

Only vote if you are taking part in the event as I will remove votes from people not taking part.

If you can I would rather you submit a score because if you don’t it’s harming your teammates chances of getting the points they need to win.

Week 4 - Results

This is it then the make or break week for both teams as we decide who will be the Vibe World Cup Champions 2021. We will also give out the Golden Mobile award for the competitor who earn’t the most points over the 4 challenges.

The situation is like this, the 🌍 team have the lead by 1pt over 🇬🇧 so if they win 4 of the 7 matches they take the title. Should 🇬🇧 win 4 matches they force a draw and a final playoff and if they win 5 or more they take the title.

 

@Woody 🇬🇧 v @Victor77 🌍

Unfortunately this match was a non event due to both players.

Victor submitted a score from a save played on an illegally downloaded version of the game. As Vibe has a zero tolerance policy in piracy I have no choice but to disqualify him from challenge this week despite him saying he has bought the game and was “just playing on my cousins phone”.

That meant that Woody only needed to play one match and get a draw, a win or a Nimely goal and he would have won but he unfortunately didn’t submit a score this week. I don’t know why and hopefully everything is ok but that means this game was DNQ v DNF and I won’t award any points to either team.

 

This leaves 6 matches and if the 🌍 team win 3 of them they are champions.

 

@leedsunited87 🇬🇧  v @Mr Tree 🌍 

Leeds went for Burton in Lg1 and made a solid start with 9 goals and 18pts giving him a score of 45. Mr Tree was one of two people who went Accrington and found it tougher with 4 goals and 14pt which is 26 pts.

Into the Championship and Mr Tree started to turn this game around as he scored 10pts more than Leeds this time with 6 goals and 20pts with Middlesbrough giving a total of 44pts. Leeds also went Middlesbrough but only managed 3 goals due to Nimely missing 7 games with injury. He scored 22pts and scored 34 in total.

That means Leeds had a 9 point lead going into the final save.

He again suffered injury problems from Nimely though as he missed 5 games this time for Southampton and only managed 1 goal which along with 16pts in the league scored him 21pts.

Mr Tree went for Newcastle and got 5 goals from Nimely and scored 19pts giving him a score of 44pts and winning the match for the 🌍 team.

 

Leedsunited 100pt v Mr Tree 114pts - 🌍 1pt

 

@Rich 🇬🇧 v @Dai_ 🌍

This was one of the most eagerly anticipated matches of the week as the two top points scorers for there teams go H2H. In the end in turned into something of a massacre.

Both Welshman went for Burton first off and whilst Rich got 12 goals from Nimely Dai smashed in a week high total of 20 to instantly take control of the match. It didn’t get better for Rich in the league points either as he had 26 compared to 45 from Dai.

This meant that after one save Rich had 62pts but Dai was well ahead with 105pts.

They went for different teams in the Champ but the result was much the same. Rich went for Middlesbrough and got 5 goals and 23 league points giving a total of 43pts. Dai broke the 100pt barrier again as Nimely scored 18 goals and Forest had 37 league points to give a score of 109pts.

With one more save to play this game looks over as Dai has 214pts compared to Rich’s 105.

Dai slowed down a bit in the PL as Nimely *only* scored 12 goals for Newcastle and with 31 league points Dai will have been disappointed not to score 100+ points again as he got 91. Rich also went for Newcastle and got 7 goals from Nimely but just 19 league points giving a score of 54pts.

That puts the 🌍 team one point away from taking the title and the remaining 🇬🇧 team members need to win all there matches to force a draw.

 

@Ian 🇬🇧 v @geordiekrispy 🌍 

It wasn’t looking good for 🇬🇧 after this first save though. Ian managed the ever popular Burton and got 7 goals out of Nimely which along with 17 league points gave a score of 38pts. GK went for Plymouth and scored 15 goals and scored 32 league points to score 74pts to start.

In the Championship Ian went for Middlesbrough but Nimely found it tough going as he scored 4 goals although Ian had the team performing well as he took 28 league points giving a score of 44pts. GK went for Bristol City and hit in 11 Nimely goals and scored 32 league points which was a total score of 76pts.

At this stage it looks all over for both Ian and 🇬🇧

Ian chose Southampton in the PL and scored 4 goals with Nimely and took 14pts out of the 15 league games. This gave him 34pts and 116pts in total which unfortunately wasn’t going to be enough as GK had 150pts already before he chose Newcastle for this save. He managed 9 goals and scored 28pts to give him 73pts and a total of 223pts which is the 2nd highest of the week.

 

Ian 🇬🇧 116pts v Geordiekrispy 🌍 223pts - 🌍 1pt

 

That means that 🇬🇧 can’t catch the 🌍 and are now just playing for pride.

MikeF went for Burton and found it tough going from the start with 5 Nimely goals and 17pts giving him 32pts to start. I chose Plymouth and Nimely did well for me with 13 goals as we took 31 league points giving a total of 70pts.

In the Championship MikeF managed Middlesbrough and again Nimely got 5 goals and the team scored 15pts to give a total score of 35pts. I went to Forest and got 7 goals and scored 31 league points to give a total of 59pts.

Finally we both managed Southampton and both struggled for goals with Mike getting 1 from Nimely and I only managed 2 in an injure hit spell for Nimely. The league points were the big difference as Mike scored 12 giving a score of 17 and I got 21 giving a score of 31.

 

MikeF 🇬🇧 84pts v FuddledFox 🌍 160pts - 🌍 1pt

 

@Rob 🇬🇧  v @broodje kip 🌍 

The battle is on for 🇬🇧 now not to get whitewashed in this final weeks challenge.

Rob went for the most popular choice of Burton in Lg1 and got 9 goals and 19 league points for a solid 49pts start. Broodje went Plymouth and fared better with 10 goals and 37 league points to give a total of 67pts.

They again went for different teams in the championship with Rob opting for Middlesbrough and Broodje Forest. Rob got 5 goals and 15 league points for 35pts whilst Broodje scored 9 and had 31 league points for a total of 67pts.

Finally they both went Southampton and both found this tough. Rob got 3 goals out of Nimely and then scored 13 points in the league whilst Broodje got 4 goals and had 16 points in the league. This meant Rob had 28pts and Broodje 36.

 

Rob 🇬🇧 109pts v Broodje Kip 🌍 170 - 🌍 1pt

 

@Albionic 🇬🇧 v @hhooo 🌍

The final match sees Hhooo needing a big performance to overtake his teammate Dai in the Golden Mobile Award. It saw Albionic go with Burton and Hhooo decided Accrington was the way to go. Albionic had 11 goals but couldn’t quite get the team as a whole performing consistently as he had 19 league points giving a total of 52pts. Hhooo did manage that consistency with 35 league points scored and 10 goals which scored him 65pts.

Into the Championship and both went for Forest. Albionic got 6 goals out of Nimely but the team did well scoring 34pts giving a total of 58pts. Hhooo managed 13 goals along with 30 league points which scored him 82pts to take a commanding lead in this match.

Finally they both went for Southampton with varying fortunes. Albionic could only get 1 goal and score 17pts in the league giving a score of 22 and hhooo got 8 goals and 27pts giving a total of 67.

That brings the final week to a close and its an emphatic win for the 🌍 team as they take it 6pts to 0 so even if Woody had submitted it wouldn’t have made a difference to the final result. Congratulations to Dai, Hhooo, Broodje Kip, Geordiekrispy, Mr Tree, Victor, Dijon and Antonie who all contributed to this win for your team.
