DRAFT LEAGUE

Hi everyone and welcome to draft league, which will be hosted by myself and the amazing @Kun Aguero, who will be using his write-up skills to bring you guys updates.

It's a mix between Basketball (as we are working with a draft system) and Fantasy League Football (as there will be a limited budget to get your players).

 

 

SETUP

Starting Money = 1000M (average of 43M a player)

Players needed = 22

Currency = $ (U.S.)

Database = March

Loaded Leagues = England (Sky Bet Two and above), Spain (Second Division and above), Germany (Bundeliga 2 and above) & Italy (Serie B and above)

League that will be used = Premier League

 

 

SIGN-UP

First off all: Before you sign up...

Think really good about if you can commit and don't dissappear after the first update please

 

To sign up, just leave a team name for now

 

 

DRAFT

All manager will have a number (the first one to sign up will be nr 1 etc), I will use a randomiser each draft round to see in what order everyone will get their pick.

Coaches/players/sponsorship will be selected through 24 “Draft Rounds”:

1. Coaches x1

2. Sponsorship x 1

3. Striker x2

4. Left Wing x2

5. Right Wing x2

6. Midfield x6

7. Right Wing Back x2

8. Left Wing Back x2

9. Central Defender x4

10. Goalkeeper x2

 

 

EDITOR

I will use editor to do the following things:

– Upgrade facilities/reputation/stadiums etc to max for every club

- Transfers players between clubs

 

 

UPDATES

Updates will be monthly (will try and update on the 1st of every month).

 

 

EARNING BUDGET

Sponsorships with 2 targets and rewards (more to come):

– Monthly target & reward

– Season target & reward

- Sponsorships will last 1 season

 

 

TRANSFERS

– Buy/Sell/Trade with player owned teams only

Hmm.. this seems really interesting, also gives me some side-quests (lol) other than doing write ups everytime I feel like it

Some questions for you, if you have some free time:

  • For the “coach” draft round, do you mean “manager”, or do you mean like “fitness coach“?
  • How many seasons are you expecting / hoping this will go on for (1-2 vs +5)?!
  • How are you handling wages (I.e. same as current wage & no team wage limits)?
  • How do we win? Is it simply whoever is top of the EPL at the end of the season?
  • For the draft, later can you give some guidance about how we can help you to keep things quick? As we’re probably all in different time zones, I’ve gotta sleep at some point. Happy to give you a list of my top 20 people (In order) for each draft round, and you can then select the highest available player for me. What do you suggest?

  • Manager
  • Will depend on the activity of who signs up
  • No wage limit
  • League is most important l, but cups also count
  • More info on the draft will come, after sign up ends

Previous Plan = find a talented unknown manager from rural South America or Eastern Europe, who no-one has ever heard of, saving millions.

Reality = selects Guardiola.

If you may draft first it's possible to get him. But if you're not first in line to draft, then hope nobody before you takes him 😅

Updated Reality = when getting the last pick, the only mangers left are Unknown’s from Latin America *sigh*
