Chat Tactic help to stop conceding!

Hi guys...sort of using this tactic at the moment...Scoring isn't the issue, I am scoring over 100 goals a season however i am conceding about 90 🤣...any advice on tweaking so I don't ont lose the Goal scoring element? i have tried going to fall backs and go to control instead of attacking but no luck...maybe i need to change player roles ?

Watch the replays and to see if you can spot who/what the issue is. The one potential issue I see is that you're playing a high defensive line - if your 2 CBs have low pace, they could just be being outrun by pacey forwards/wingers.

The other thing to check is the home/away stats screen at the end of the game and see if it's the same player(s) making mistakes. The 'Mis' column is the mistakes they've made and 'MiG' is mistakes leading to goals. Once you've identified the players(s) at fault, you could then look to replace them with someone with higher positioning/teamwork/decisions/pace depending on the issue.

And what tactic are your opponents usually playing?

If they’re playing with an AMC (e.g. 4231 or 4411), then you may find (a) their AMC is receiving the ball, (b) one of your CB presses up to close that AMC down, creating space for (c) a through ball to the opposition ST - which is especially bad if your DC has lower pace than the opposition ST!

It happens all the time to me when I play without a DMC and the opposition has an AMC. Check the highlights and see if it happens to you.

I’d change to narrow, using a high line is always dangerous, especially on this years game, fast and expressive means you won’t hold on to the ball as well, I usually tend to go standard on both, but you can use expressive jusy wouldn’t go fast with it.
