Chat Is this a new game feature or glitch? Retiring this young!

This popped up on my news feed...retiring at 22?? is this legit or a bug? I know players can retire when they wish in real life but never seen this in game.

I’ve seen it before, sometimes I believe free agents give up when they can’t find a club, had he been a free agent for long?

He had been at inter milan for the 4 previous seasons then his last before this message he had made 13 appearances for a random team...makes sense whay you are saying. It may have happened to me before but u may nt have realised.

Yeah I had that in my save with Bentaleb. Was free agent for ages. No one signed him, so they retire. He should have joined Sutton when he had the chance

This happened to me years ago when managing San Marino on the PC version. Andy Selva was close to retirement and a young 21 year old Matteo Vitaioli decided he would retire. 21 years old and retired. He would of been my main striker as well.

It is mad that the AI doesnt allow players to drop wages and down the leagues like that
