Help Disable NewGen Faces

Hi there,

Is there any way to disable the newgen faces? Personally, I think they look terrible and would greatly prefer to just have the standard silhouette instead.

An option “disable pictures” would be great. When players turn coaches, seeing them with their babyfaces feels weird. And it slows the game.

This has been asked for a few times over on the SI Games forums and the official response is:

Not at present, I'll consider putting an option in as part of the update cycle at some point - but obviously during the initial updates we'll be looking at fixing crashes/bugs/issues rather than adding in new features (even if relatively minor).

Probably wouldn't hurt to add your voices over there so they know quite a few people want this. 🙂

Any news on this? The faces are just ridiculous, would have been better to just use stock photos

What news do you expect other than the above? 

Personally i think they're great - ridiculous of course, but it was literally insane that so much screen space was being wasted on silhouettes. Glad they put something there instead.

I don't know when updates come around, so news for me would be when we'd hope to see the option to turn the faces off

There are regular small updates, plus a big one in February/March including new transfers. There's a link to the maker's discussion above. It's safe to say that if you haven't noticed an update to fix it, the current status is as mentioned above - they're looking at it, but obviously it's not a priority, and the only thing you could really do to affect that would be to add to the "voices" calling for change.
