4-2-4 WINNING TACTIC

I’ve tried many tactics and variants so far since the release of FMM22 and I haven’t managed to make any system work as well as this one. Give it a go and let me know how you get on  

Tips:

- Your IF will score just as many goals as your strikers, make sure they’re preferably left footed and a good finisher 

- Some games you may go down early as it is such a forward thinking system, feel free to start the game on just ‘Attacking’ to get a feel for the game

- I started my save as an attacking managerial style

Cant wait to give this a try when I get home tonight, cant seem to get anything to work on this years so far and an attacking 4-2-4 been my favourite since FM19 👍

Tested with Man Utd without signings, and a few tweaks.
 - My Tf wasn't scoring much, so i just moved both forwards to Dlf, which made the midfielders and wingers score more, while the forwards wracked up some assists and goals aswel (ronaldo with 20 goals and 12 assists in 24 games)

- I also moved the dlp to an AP. We were conceding too many goals anyway, so going on a more offensive approach turned out to be the good choice.

- Went 25 games unbeaten in the premier league, scoring 82 goals in those 25 games, while conceding 18. We lost out unbeaten run against everton who just destroyed me in the first 20 minutes of the game with 4 goals from 4 shots 😘 

- We were also better off playing on a more disciplined approach instead of balanced, we conceding abit less and also scored more.

But all in all, its quite a fun tactic. I would use it with a more defensive tactic. Most of the time you will be in the lead, so you'll need a defensive backup approach.

Thanks so much for this tactic, made the game so fun for me. Only tweak I’ve made is attacking instead of overload. It’s amazing. Results don’t do it justice, dominate most games in shots.
1st season with Newcastle, tried to keep the signings semi realistic, no OP signings (other than Raphinha and Lacroix). Before it started was worried I’d get the sack without a European place, but top after 14 games 😂

Smashed it mate!! Yepp I mentioned above to flick between attacking/overload it seems to be the best way. I’m glad it worked out for you Newcastle need to grab you on board irl it seems😝

Tried it with Verona but the season was so bad, finished 16th with 25 losses and 91 goals conceded 😞

In season two of a money ball save with Birmingham. Was getting tedious so thought I’d give this a go (starting from Preston in the screenshot below). Early results are mixed but on balance an improvement - I tend to win when I score first and lose when I don’t.

 

only change was changing dlp to a bwm to suit my players.

I train them in their role in the tactic.

Finding a left footer with IW attributes was really hard under moneyball rules so I’ve tended to just play any attacking mid or winger there. It’s the IF on the other side that gets the goals usually.

Not in this case, I always make sure their foot is opposite to the side they’re on if you’re using IF/IW

Tried this on lower league and defensively this tactic is concede 5 goals a game but score 6 goals 🤣 it did get me 2 back to back promotions possibly three if I can finish strong but I’m averaging 2 goals conceded a game nearly and scoring 3. But yeah both strikers every season are top scorers around 35 goals each

I feel like we're repeating ourselves a lot now.

Tactical style makes no difference to anything. Just copy the instructions as they are set by the original poster.
