Harry Kane was dead: to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. Well at least his ability to score a goal for Spurs was...

As I sat by the fire warming myself on this cold winter's evening the ghost of Harry Kane came to me. "Hear me!" cried Harry. "My time at Spurs is nearly gone"

"You will be haunted by three spirits. Without their visits you cannot hope to shun the path I tread. Expect the first tomorrow when the bell tolls One. Expect the second on the next night at the same hour. The third upon the next night on the last stroke of Twelve."

When he has said these words the ghost of the player Karry used to be, floated out upon the bleak dark night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

 

The first spirit

"I am the Ghost of Wonderkids Past."

"Long past?" I asked.

"FMM19" was his reply. As he came into the light I could make out the face of Troy Parrot. Older, slower and not as good as he once was.

But still showing some of the potential promised all those years ago.

 

The second spirit

"I am the Ghost of Wonderkids Present" said Dean Scarlett. " Look upon me!"

"You have never seen the like of me before!" exclaimed Dean. "Well, maybe last year but lets ignore that for the sake of this introduction which is already getting far too long."

 

The last of the spirits

The Phantom slowly, gravely, silently, approached. I didn't recognise him. 

"I am the Ghost of Wonderkids Yet To Come" said some young chap I didn't recognise, but looked like he fit the bill for this narrative.

"Ghost of the Future!" I exclaimed. "I fear you more than any wonderkid I have seen due to your unknown potential ability."

 

The end of it

"I will play the wonderkids of the Past, Present and Future. The Spirits of all three will shall strive within me. Or I'll get fired in the first season and this challenge will be over very soon".

Keeping a very close eye on this as I already had plans to use Donley as one of my 3 in a triple threat. I have signed him in a career before and loaned him out for 3 seasons. No spoilers but he develops nicely!

Ah interesting, I just have to try and not get fired in the first season before they learn how to play in the Prem! I started off way too attacking and was leaking goals all over the place!

Season 1

This turned out to be more of a challenge that I originally thought. Spurs obviously need a lot of rebuilding and then when you make 1/3rd of your team youngsters it makes us even worse! I also didn't have a tactic with 3 up front that i'd tested so we started off patchy, to the point where fans were gathering outside the ground. But then we hit our stride a bit although we're leaking far too many goals to weaker teams, but that could well just be Loris.

Anyway the boys developed nicely and got a decent haul along the way:

 

 

   

 

78 goals in total, which i'm happy with for the first season. And i still need to get them in their best roles to get them all working together. They also got 41 assists between them which i'm happy with.

 

Was a mixed season.

And we managed to grab 4th place to get CL football next season. This will help with the squad rebuild.

 

Transfers:

A bit of steel in the midfield, making Romero permanent and a couple of future stars. I'm trying not to go for the youngsters i know will be good from my Benfica save but Collins is just epic so he's coming with me again.

No big sales here. Just some of the deadwood I wish we'd shift in real life (although Davies is loving life under Conte)! Harry is staying as my backup striker and Son will play out wide if i can stop him scoring.

 

Team:

I ended the season in an ultra attacking formation that I won't be sticking with as it's far too unpredictable so ignore the positions above. But Vignato, who i've never really used before, loved it out on the right wing as well as a surprise turn out from Hojbjerg getting 10 assist from the middle of the park.

I'll be looking to change things up next season.

 

  

 

All in all i'm happy with that, decent amount of goals and getting CL football was the aim. Silverware was a bonus, even if it was just the League Cup.

That's a very good start! That formation looks close to what I used last year for my Triple threat. I haven't tested it this year yet but I remember it being very unpredictable early on in the career. Might be worth sticking with as the players you use get better mate. That was the case for me.

To be honest in the first season i used about 5 different formations as i couldn't settle on one and this was one that seemed to have potential but my team isn't good enough for it yet. When i'm superpowered i may revisit it. It's similar to another one of mine but using the in possession positions all the time, we just have to keep possession for that to work. If we lose the ball I just have Sanchez looking worried as players charge at him.

Season 2

We started off patchy again and i wasn't happy with the inconsistency of my previous formation, so it was back to the drawing board. 

Once the new formation was firing we were scoring for fun (8-2, 8-3 in first two games, 7-4 against Inter in the CL Quarter final - the fans were in for one hell of a season!). We're still leaky but i'm taking the Redknapp approach of just scoring more that we concede as goals are key here, not clean sheets.  We ended with a very respectable 89 goals between the lads. 

 

 

Parrott is struggling a bit but I've tweaked his role and he seems to like it a bit more so we'll see how next season is for him. The other boys, i can't fault and they're developing very nicely.

 

Second in the league and scoring plenty, FA Cup winners, and CL semi finalists:

 

Transfers:

Simon to replace the aging Lloris, Barella because he's a beast and runs midfield, and Belotti on a Bosman for backup were my summer signings.

Hernandez and Chiesa both arrived in Jan from the Kane money (he left in Jan too) and turned the team around slotting into the new formation like a couple of pros. Much needed. Kane will be missed but we got good money for him and Etate from my reserve team turned into a beast as a backup striker too so it was a waste having Kane bench warming. City wanted him but I wasn't going to sell him to another Prem team and Juve ended up offering more money too. Win-win.

 

Team:

Sonny almost went in Jan too but it turned out he loved his new role in my new tactic so i'm glad to say he's here to stay. 

 

 

A transitional season but we have a tactic that seems to be working well now and with 1 or 2 signings to sort out my defence we'll be in good shape.

Scarlett: 68

Donley: 59

Season 3

A good season. The tactic is working and the boys are scoring. Apart from Parrott who’s more of a cheerleader really 😂 

106 goals. 

 

 

 

Won the league, although it went to the last two games. And won the CL which was a nice surprise.

 

Transfers:

Spent my entire budget on Kimmich but it was a key role in my formation and he’s the best in the world to play there. Plus he’s a great mentor for younger players and is pretty epic all round. Apart from that there are some youngsters who have potential to mould into my system. Academy 2.0 has begun. 
Sold a couple of players who weren’t needed but wanted to keep squad depth so didn’t shift too many players. 
 

Team:

Assists coming from all over. Wingers doing their job but Kimmich excelling in his role and chipping in with 21 assists. I’m glad I spent all my money on him!

Me:

A great season is terms of competitions and we broke the 100 goals mark already. Parrott isn’t great but the other boys are pinching all his goals so I’ll continue to tweak his role until something sticks. Donley is awesome and loves a corner, Scarlett is deadly and still developing a little bit - these two boys are going to be doing the heavy lifting I think.

Season 4

Another good season but not amazing. The tactic needs tweaking to get it to the next level but we finished on 101 goals. 
We had a few fitness problems / minor injuries and Belotti came in as sub stealing a load of goals. Bad Belotti. 
 

 

 

Good numbers from Donley and Scarlett. Parrott racked up a few assists but still finds it hard to score. I think most of his assists were missed chances that the other boys pounced on 😂 

 

Won the league convincingly. Crashed out of the cup tournaments. We need a bit more squad depth.

Great match for the fans there…

 

Transfers:

Taking a bit more of a Galacticos approach with this save buying big players instead of my usual approach of loads of regen wonderkids. Saying that, Viale is 17 and looks like Messi so there’s always the exception to the rule. He doesn’t fit my system currently but I’ll see how the retraining goes.

 

Team:

Son is getting on a bit now but he’s still pulling in the numbers.

I think at the start he’s the best and most mature of the three so gets more of the ball and chances. Once the others start to develop they’re the ones getting the chances. Saying that, he’s starting firing this season with a few changes I’ve made to the tactics. He even got a hat trick! Let’s see if it lasts though.

Season 5

Pretty great season here. Donley taking most of the glory but Parrott improving his goalscoring to the lofty heights of season 1. A couple of tweaks to roles and instructions and the boys were on fire with 144 goals. 

 

 

 

 

We won everything apart from the FA cup when Ederson got himself sent off in the 119 min giving away a penalty in the process (I thought it was one or the other?). We were then left without a goalie for the penalty and resulting shootout as i'd made all my subs. It didn't go well. Everything else went to plan though scoring more and conceding less.

 

Transfers:

Sane was my big signing as I needed a new left winger with Son getting on a bit now. Sane was awesome and the Sane/Donley bromance was born. Other signings were a couple of youngsters with potential and a couple of squad players. I also sold a few fringe players that weren't up to scratch.

 

Team:

Sane was immense, Kimmish still doing his role well, Chiesa whipping crossing in from the right - almost 100 assists from those 3 alone. By tweaking the instructions I managed to get a lot more of our goals going through the strikers, mostly Donley, and fewer being scored by other players which made a big difference this season. Let's hope it continues.

Every triple threat I do, one player always scores way more! I think it’s just the way it goes 😁

This is my front line. 

Parrot and Scarlett tend to drift out to the channels and I guess that opens up a lot of space for Donley. He’s also 19 aerial so any cross that gets near him is ending up in the back of the net. He’s not even my penalty taker.
