Chat Captain change not taking effect - bug or not?

Hey, started with FMM22 a few days ago, and I encountered this weird situation where I try to change my captain, but it doesn't take effect. I have attached some screenshots to show the problem. It seems like my original captain remains the captain no matter what I do.

This is my new captain selection:

But if I try to remove my new captain, something is clearly wrong because the game thinks he's the vice captain?

And while Foglia is supposed to be my new captain, my old captain is still the captain?

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

It is a bug. It is overall very finicky when the captaincy breaks.

Try to remove all captains, save, exit game and return to set all your captains.

Thanks for the reply! I tried this, and when I reloaded - he was present in the captain list. However, the problem persists - he is never removed as captain even though everything indicates that he is. Even my vice captain is permanently locked it seems. I'm gonna go submit a big report for this.

Found a way. Pick your desired captaincy, and then save your tactic. Simple as that.
