Well I'm definitely not a top FM gamer, and not a top FMM one either! Don't say that! They all go quiet and go into semi retirement here on Vibe... But I'll definitely struggle at time...

Thanks mate - yeah Scotland's a joy! I never could play Rangers though, definitely will always pick the Celtic side of Glasgow, but might try a smaller team sometime. Mind you I need to head back to Italy some time soon!

The problem is I keep having ideas for other saves. Actually right now I sort of want to go play down the bottom of the leagues (after reading your career).

That completion rate seems higher than what I think it’d be.

I'm not sure as I don't normally holiday. My guess would be that you don't, because I know you don't earn points in the manager profile section.

Update - Seasons 4-6

Time for another 3 season update. Still using the TT Blaster, trying different instructions, hard to pin down anything that is reliably better than anything else.

We're doing alright. Not winning everything, every season, but not too far off it. 

 

Development

The lads are fully developed now (and looking pretty good):

I do wonder what would have happened if I'd trained the front 3 with more of a focus on Passing, Dribbling and Creativity. I went with my normal approach that turns them into killer finishers, but with the 3 of them playing together, perhaps maximising the interplay would have been better. Oh, maybe an experiment for another time.

A few things to note in here:

• As you can see, Almada had less goals this season. That's because I took penalties off him and gave them to Satriano who was falling a bit behind. I'll continue to swap them around to try to balance things. 
• You may not notice it yet, but I took corners away from Almada with a couple of months to go. He's going to have no problem getting to 500 assists and it's probably better for our strikers to have the players with 20 Crossing sending in the corners (Almada only has 17 Crossing). His numbers will really drop off next season. 
• I am not sure what's up with Lucca. He dropped off a bit in season 4 once I took the corner receiver position away from him, but was decent in season 5, before dropping away massively for no apparent reason in season 6. I'll need to keep an eye on him.

Anyway, if I can get another 10 season of them averaging about 60 goals each, then we'll just about be there. It's probably doable, but could get tight if they slow down too soon.

I don't use my scouting app on any of the saves I post here (except for a couple where that was the point of the save), even though I don't nominate for the leaderboards any more. 

I've broken that personal rule with this save, so that I could compare the Aerial attributes for my strikers before and after the Winter update, so I could try to work out why they all dropped a point of Aerial. I'll post my finding on the general discussion thread shortly.

I did see my fella's CA/PA and their hidden attributes etc while looking at this, but only in passing. They are all fully developed anyway, so it's of limited value at this point (and as I said, I'm not going for any leaderboards) - but I wanted to be up front about this.

Seasons 7 & 8

What's that you say? Only 2 seasons this time? What happened to the "every 3 seasons" update sequence? Well, I have a new challenge that will take me away from this one for a bit, but don't worry, I will complete this one. I think. 😄

Actually, this update is probably a telling one. I've always thought this career may last about 16 seasons, so this will be about the half way mark. I haven't seen the number myself before writing this up, so I can't wait to see how we're doing!

Worth noting that I'm not scoring as much in the league - maybe that's just because the squad needs a little freshening, or it could be the effects of the Winter Update. Either way, the players are still doing well enough.

You can see that the numbers jump around a lot. That's because I change who is on the end of crosses for corners, who takes penalties and free kicks etc. I'll keep mixing it around to try and keep them relatively level.

 

Final Thoughts

If season 8 is the halfway mark, then we're not doing too badly. Almada is easily on track to make the split 1K by season 16. The other lads are just about spot on (they have 1501 goals out of 3000), though of course we need to balance that to make sure they all get to 1K. 

Not sure how quickly they will drop off, so we'll have to see, but I'm feeling good about it at this stage. 

Anyway, this will slow down (even more) now, as I'm about to publish a new 10 year challenge and then have a crack at it myself. Look for "A Diamond In The Rough" in the coming days.

Thats great career mate ! Im planning to hop on with 4*1k in next, but havent found motivation to start it. I had ideal tactic ready before update, then it stopped working.
