CHOOSING THE SQUAD

FC Akron Tolyatti were the team I chose to manage from Russia due to their small size. The club were only founded in 2018 & therefore have a relatively uneventful history. I am hoping my philosophy can push this small starter club forward.

STADIUM & FACILITIES

The clubs infrastructure is below average. Both the clubs youth & 1st team facilities are below average. The stadium currently holds just over 1,500 supporters.

STAFF,FINANCES & TRAINING

The clubs finances are in a very healthy state. The staff room is full with mostly basic level coaches,scouts & physios. Training is delegated to the Assistant Manager.

SQUAD

As always, due to the clubs small stature & low quality players, there were many incomming & outgoing players. I sorted the original squad, checking which ones fitted into our system- age/attributes etc, the ones which didn't were released freeing up funds. The players bought in were 16-30 & fitted my key attributes of PACE,TEAMWORK & DECISIONS.

TACTICS

I used my usual Attacking Tiki Taka tactic for this career. The tactic worked very well but was quite inconsistent, especially at the end of the season. This is shown in the stats where we had most consecutive wins at 3 BUT also had most games without win at 4 as well as most consecutive wins at 2!

THE RESULTS

The season ended with FC Akron Tolyatti winning the league & cementing their 1st milestone in their history. The season came right down to the last day with Torpedo pushing us all the way. That said, it was overall a really successful season for the club scoring roughly 2x goals per game & having the most clean sheets/ best defence in the league.
