Help Can a player be retrained to any position?

Hi guys,

I believe I need a little advice from people who maybe have more insight about this, or have more experience on player repositionning.

I'm currently in a save where a player I really like is a natural left-footed right IF (Karamoko Dembélé). This is a position I love to use but in my current save, I need a left winger, so I thought, let's retrain him! Thing is that the left winger position is not even red, it's empty. And he dislikes this new position training.

Do you think that playing him as a left winger a whole season would make him progress? Or should I stop? Did any of you have any experience with this?

After 2 years of repositionning... 😅

i wouldnt try with worse than yellow, the player will get mad about low progression, you will kill his morale and the progress will not be worth to even try to play him there
