Chat 442?

Starting a save with Burnley and want to keep with the tradition and play similar route one 442 style football. I’m pretty sure it is impossible to do well playing like this in fm but if someone does know a good way to get it to work or a tactic  let me know

Have tried this season with the best wingers I could possibly find in a Man United save. It doesn't this year. Though it was very successful for me on FM21 as I owe it most of my success then but it didn't work for me this year. You can tinker around and try some instructions if they will work

Dycheball's attacking phase and dynamics can definitely be recreated. The big challenge will be the defending. The compact two banks of four does not exist in this game because the wide midfielders do not join the rest of the team(4 defenders + 2CMs) in compressing space in the box. They are useful when pressing high, but not when defending your box. They'll leave huge gaps in the middle and just sit on the flanks waiting to drive forward when your team has won the ball

Could you send me the instructions and tactics and I’ll give it a try

I could try and put man mark on the left and right midfielders. Do you know why the wide midfielders do not join the rest of the team?

I don't have the save anymore, would have screenshot it but it was on attack, wide, balanced creativity, balanced defensive line, pressing all over, normal tackle, early crosses, work ball into box, through balls, short passing, attack on mixed and keeper delivery on mixed. Hopefully it works for you

Man marking does  nothing. It is what it is. Thought It was a lack of teamwork, but no. It is what it is.

Used 442 teams. Burnley and Atletico. It is just not a feature of the current engine. Been on this for 2 years +.
