Something to add regarding the General Counter Spell:

• If someone cast a spell on you in the window (the 72 hours before deadline), and you purchase the Counter Spell afterwards (but in the same window), the Counter spell will be able to cancel out the spell casted on you (only the 1st one will be cancelled out, if 2 spells are casted on you, then the 2nd spell will still work).
• But if you purchase it in the next window (the one in January), the Counter spell will not work, and the spell casted on you will still have an effect.
• That means it's better to keep any purchase of spells and potions a secret until the deadline ends

For a transfer, you can negotiate with other players (including player from the same house) to trade your players (can be player exchange or player + cash). Once both sides agree with the deal, you can announce here.

@broodje kip has agreed to buy Bayern wing back Pavard - in return for DanEnglish receiving versatile Chelsea defender Azpilicueta + £3m cash.

@Kun Aguero witnessed the two party’s paperwork + confirmation in their respective common room.

DanEnglish expressed his delight at finally getting his man after missing out on him during the draft - though rumours are flying around that he’s disappointed not to have found a more important Lukaku-related agreement

@Titjes, @broodje kip and @StuartM make the Top 3, with both Palmeiras goalkeeper at the bottom of the leaderboard.

It's @Titjes's player on top again, with Sergio Ramos scoring 3 goals. The rest weren't too far behind with the majority of them scoring 1 goal. Interesting thing is both Hufflepuff players are in the bottom 2.

 

MID : Games Won

 

Without much surprise, it's the Bayern's trio that make into the Top 3, while @StuartM's Leroy Sane claimed top spot as he scored more goals than the other 2. @hhooo was once again in the Bottom 2.

As predicted by @DanEnglish, Romelu Lukaku leads the chart after scoring 43% of Chelsea's goal (16 out of 37), while Julian Alvarez and Kylian Mbappe were the other 2 in the Top 3.

Annual Special Event : Quidditch! 🧹

As mentioned before, every in-game year/season, there will be a special event, and the first one introduced will be Quidditch! 

In case you aren't familiar with Quidditch, it's a sports in the Harry Potter wizarding world that are played between 2 teams. Each team consist of 7 players : 1 Keeper who's job is to defend the goal, 2 Beaters who's job is to bat the Bludgers away from their teammates, 3 Chasers who's job is to score goals and 1 Seeker who locates and catch the Golden Snitch.

In our version of Quidditch, each house will select 7 out of the 8 players they owned, and play against another houses in 2 rounds to decide the the Inter-House Quidditch Cup winner.

Here's some rules of our version of Quidditch:

1. There will be 2 rounds (Semi-final and Final). The 4 houses will be randomly drafted into pairs, and the 2 winners will face each other in the final.
2. Each round will be 2 months long (in-game of course), with the first round from 1st Feb 2022 - 31st March 2022, and the second round from 1st April 2022 - 22nd May 2022 (the last league game).
3. Each house will need to select 7 players from the 8 they already owned.
   • 1 Keeper : Need to be a GK (that means you will have to pick 1 out of the 2 GK in your house)
   • 2 Beaters : 2 Defenders (just the 2 defenders in your house)
   • 3 Chasers : Can be either Midfielders or Attackers
   • 1 Seeker : Can be either a Midfielder or an Attacker
4. In the actual Quidditch, for each goal the Chasers scored, 10 points will be rewarded, while the game ends when the Seeker catches the Golden Snitch which reward the team 150 points.
5. In our version, the score will be (Total goals scored by the 3 Chasers) - (The average number of goals conceded by the Keeper and 2 Beaters). 
6. While our version of Golden Snitch will be the league title.
   • For the first round (1st Feb - 31st March), if the Seeker's team is on top of the league table on 31st March, his house will be rewarded 150 points (Quiddicth points, not house points).
   • For the second round (1st April - 22nd May), if the Seeker's team win the league, his house will be rewarded 150 points.
7. So the final score will be (Total goals scored by the 3 Chasers) - (The average number of goals conceded by the Keeper and 2 Beaters) + (150 points if the Seeker "catch" the Golden Snitch)
8. The house with the higher score win of course.
9. Spells & potions will not have any effect in the Quidditch score.
10. Please submit your house teamsheet (the 7 players) in the group chat (that I created), deadline will be in 48 hours. You will have to discuss with your housemate which 7 players to play. (If your housemate wasn't active, then it's ok for you to pick the 7 players yourself).
11. Winner of the Inter-House Quidditch Cup will be awarded 50 house points, while the 2nd place will be awarded 25 house points.

That’s a great choice 👍 I was looking at Carsen as my first choice draft GK, but didn’t need to as Broodje got Ederson instead.

Inter-House Quidditch Cup: Semi-Final Preview

All 4 houses had submitted their Quidditch lineup, the Quaffle, Bludgers and Golden Snitch are ready, but before the result is revealed. Let's have a look at how each house's team looks like.

Match 1 : Ravenclaw vs Slytherin

Ravenclaw

Ravenclaw had went for a surprising Seeker option in Al-Dawsari, probably trying to gamble it on the 3 Chasers in getting the goals needed. As for their Keeper, they went for Ederson who had conceded fewer goals in the first half of the season compared to their other GK Keylor Navas. 

Slytherin

As expected, Slytherin had chosen Bayern's Leon Goretzka as their seeker, hoping for Bayern to top the table or win the league to get the precious 150 points. As for their Keeper, it's pretty straightforward for them as their 2 options were Neuer and Onana (who had conceded the most goals so far). 

Slytherin could win this game easily IF Bayern top the league, but if they don't, things could be in Ravenclaw's favor since they have got 2 strikers in-form in their Chasers and a slightly better defence.

 

Match 2 : Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff

Gryffindor

Another house that went with a Bayern player as their Seeker, while Gryffindor also had the league's topscorer Romelu Lukaku among their Chasers. 

Hufflepuff

A Bayern Seeker (again), while Hufflepuff had chosen Scott Carson as their Keeper hoping for Man City to not concede that much goals (pressure's on Ravenclaw's Ederson). With the league's 3rd highest scorer Julian Alvarez among their Chasers, Hufflepuff may rely on him to decide whether they can beat Gryffindor.
