Help Help needed! I keep conceding from goals from outside box

I keep conceding goals scored from open play outside the penalty area....I play with FB CB CB FB followed by midfielder being a BWM and closing down on at the times. Any tips how i can stop this happening??

Try using a high line, it should help a bit but with the game this year, there is nothing you really can do stopping outside shots even with the best goalkeeper

I find playing an Anchor (in the DMC) position helps a lot. He sits just in front of your two CBs, and either (a) prevents passes from the opposition midfield reaching the opposition’s line striker, or (b) cuts down the space for the opposition ST or AMC to shoot from distance.

I find the BWM moves around a lot more (closes down), so doesn’t sit in front of the defense in such a disciplined way as the Anchor.

I agree with Dan, BWM feels like a waste of space. Go for Anchor if you want more defensive cover, or play RP/DLP in DM position if you want to go full attacking to provide more chances.

ok i usually play RP and BWM in centre mid...would you recommend a DLP playing behind an advanced playmaker and a BBM?

I dont really use rp/dlp in DM this year, always prefer anchor because defence wins you trophy 😄

 

but i also have tested dlp in my “test save” and it worked okay, using ap-bbm in front of the dlp, the tactic is from here its the 3-1-4-2 newcastle if im not mistaken.

I usually play with an Anchor and a BBM and CM/AP in front. Someone know when its best to use AP or CM?

sometimes when opposition is not playing with an AMC and 2 atrikers Use a DLP instead of Anchor. I have the feeling it gets more space without an opposition AMC.
