Right chaps, first crack at this after seeing a lot of talk about it the last few days so thought I'd have a go. So far so good, will try and keep it updated.

So season 1 finished, unfortunately had a massive blip in the middle of the season and only ended up with 31 goals in 50 games. 

Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong tactically as I'm not the biggest expert of this game, but at this rate its going to be a very difficult challenge. 

At least stats have started creeping up, hopefully they make a difference this season.

In the first 1kc that I completed, I’ve only managed to score 20 goals in season one. Season one is all about developing the player. You’re on the right track.

Am guessing you’re going to have a tactic based on him scoring headers from crosses / corners from out wide? 🙂

Yeah exactly, seeing how broken it is its a no brainer haha.

Think I've lost it, he's been missing the last 5 games and morale is low. Is it best to end it or do they come back around eventually? Unfortunately somebidy bid for him and he wanted to leave.

Shame really as was looking better this season.

If he wants to leave, you can try the talking to him bit, and 'persuade him to stay' I've found that works before. 

Also, if you get a bid, and the player would be interested, accept it. Then just click 'no' when you need to confirm it. Doesn't affect the player morale that way. 

As other have said, the first season (or 2 with such a young player) is more about developing the player, and the team. Once you've brought in the right players, and got his key attributes up, should be firing!

Right, so end of season 2 and after the mid season blip and me messing around with tactics I reverted to what was working and the goals started flowing back for him. 

Again nothing special numbers wise considering some of you are getting 100 a season! But a slight improvement nevertheless.
