Career 3KC For Šeško? Let’s Go!! [Season 10]

Recommended Posts

Great stuff! As you say, need to keep creeping above that curve ahead of the inevitable decline later on.

Keep it going man!

Another top season mate, it’s annoying when they take ages to recover from an injury 🙄

Thanks mate, yeah, it's annoying, but I guess it's worth it - the longer they take to recover, the higher their PA is (which is why it takes so long).

If If they are PA150, they will recover fairly quickly at this level (UCL winners). If they are PA200, it will take forever to get back to 200. Not sure what Sesko is in this save, but he's normally in the 160s, so maybe he's a little higher in this save (won't be anywhere near 200, but could be 170s or even low 180s in a pinch),

Thanks mate, yeah it's like F1, gotta keeping pulling ahead by a second or two every lap, so I can build enough gap to make a pit stop. Well, actually not like that at all, but there you go...

Update - Season 9

We're in the middle of the most important seasons of this save now and need to make hay while the sun shines! Let's see how much we made this year.

Transfers

Here are the transfers:

3kc-season-09-31.jpg.e0e721780e534ae3e5d75991083c7283.jpg

We sold Tymon and Carreira, who were squeezed out by graduates from our Wonderkid Academy™. We also sold some students who failed to graduate and we brought in the next year's intake.

Results

We won everything again...

Injuries

Sesko got injured in the Club World Championship final and was out for a month, but only missed the first 3 games of the season. Campbell had 2 separate month long injuries during the season, followed by a 3 week injury after the season.

Development

Love these guys (Sesko took almost the whole season to recover from the CWC injury):

Goals - Sesko

Sesko was sluggish after his injury and got off to a slower start than usual (16 goals in first 9 games), but picked up the pace over the course of the season, finishing with 176 goals from 59 games:

3kc-season-09-35.jpg.722173c8626553979d4a1d8a56b1f216.jpg

Worth noting that he played more games than any other season, thanks to the entire CWC being held at the very start of the season (in the off-season really).

Assists - Campbell

Campbell got 79 assists from 50 games, well down on his normal rate, mostly due to sluggishness after the injuries I think:

Progress

07 156 84
08 182 108
08 176 79
Total 1356/3000 667/1500

And here's the chart showing actual progress vs average rate over 22 seasons:

image.png.1e3877cb9e7f35045b8a81ef2dab9a67.png

Getting ahead of the curve now, but that's exactly what we need to offset the smaller seasons at the end of the save.

Final Thoughts

Another very good season, especially for Sesko, and we need to come back and do it all again next season.

Thanks for reading.

Injuries again 😤 so frustrating isn't it

Haha!!!

It is like F1. If you're on a certain strategy and can't pit again you have to gain enough of a lead whilst your tyres are at their best before they start to decline. I get you bro! 😂

I love F1! ❤️

Well, yeah, but also that's football and all things considered, I've been lucky (or clever as I manage his game time and keep training on low intensity).

Yeah, it's why I avoid the top regens (if I spot them) these days.

The Messi regen will take forever to reach his full potential and is unlikely to get to attributes of 20 until close to that time (doesn't have to be fully developed, but unlikely to reach 20s when only 80% developed). A PA160 player won't be as good as the Messi regen (with PA200), but he can still get some 20s and he will get there much faster. And while Messi will take forever to recover from injuries where attributes are lost, the PA160 player will recover much quicker.

It's all down to how many points the player gets after each game and going from 155 to 160 is much quicker than going from 195 to 200.

Hmm, haven't used either Ronaldo or Cavani before, so not really sure about them, but Giroud's hidden attributes are really solid and he often passes them on.

Amazing season. Gutted about the injuries. You don’t seem as lucky as the others in that aspect.

Thanks mate, ended up much better than I thought after the 'slow' start. Actually I think I've been pretty lucky with the injuries too, haven't lost too many games due to it. Sure rough season for Campbell, but from memory I've only had about 1 equal to that, the rest have been pretty good. Sure beats some of my other careers (although they were before I started using low intensity).

I stopped playing for a little while, but have started again now. And gotta say Rangers hate coming to Sesko Stadium:

image.png.dbb4ce3d75069d693ddf154740a95ec9.png

Not only do we spank them, but they can't use one of their better players:

Yes that's right, the gap is so big now that they need to borrow our graduates because they are better than their first team...

Update - Season 10

Injuries

An injury free season for Sesko, but Campbell followed up 3 injuries last year with a further 2 this year - one for 10 days and one for a month, both in 4-0 victories, which is clearly a dangerous scoreline:

Goals - Sesko

Sesko had a sluggish first half to the season, scoring 'only' about 2.7 goals per game. The main difference this year was that I'd made him captain. The team loved him as captain, literally everyone's choice:

3kc-season-10-11.jpg.729fba190e407b2fd57f66a6095a38a9.jpg

But after advice from @Fresh , I took the captaincy off him and he seemed to do better. It's hard to tell as he'd started getting a little better before I took it off him and he still had some sluggish periods after I did, but in general he did better when not the captain.

Anyway, he finished with 164 goals from 55 games:

3kc-season-10-30.jpg.e076662d9e4c1523e4f4afaa28cb94ea.jpg

Still a great season, even if slightly lower than the last couple.

Assists - Campbell

Campbell got 77 assists from 45 games, down on his normal rate, mostly due to the injuries I think:

08 182 108
09 176 79
10 164 77
Total 1520/3000 744/1500

Halfway now for Sesko and almost halfway for Campbell, ahead of schedule, given I'm planning this to take 22 seasons. The chart for Sesko shows he is a full season season ahead of the curve now:

We need to keep building on this as there are likely to be some dark days before the end of the save.

Final Thoughts

Rinse and repeat next season.

Thanks for reading.

My one seems to be pretty good with injuries. He gets them, but not that often and the longest so far must have been a month.

If your one is getting 5 injuries a season then your either very very unlucky or there's something you need to tweak. I've only ever seen that level of injury with players that have the injury prone tag in the Preventative Physio screen and Sesko doesn't have that. I can't go look at his injury prone level while I'm playing this save, but I've seen it before and from memory he's not too far off the very rarely injured message.

I've got him on Low Intensity for training, he's playing TF which means he doesn't run as much as some other positions (at least in theory), I sub him off before he gets down to 80% condition and I give him days off whenever he gets the slightly tired message or is less that 100% condition before the game.

If you're doing all that and still getting a lot of injuries, then maybe your version has suffered from some sort of increase in injury proneness due to a particularly bad injury or something. Does the Preventative Scout have any message for him?

18 minutes ago, Titjes said:

From memory Haaland isn't too bad, but he's higher than Sesko and above the 50% range (ie I think he's 11 or 12 out of 20). So he shouldn't be too bad, but he's gonna get his share of injuries...

From memory, Cavani is a pretty good mentor as is somewhat high/decent professionalism and work rate ... however Ronaldo's workrate is horrible, plus typically his mentees (younger Man Utd players) would most benefit from his 'leadership', which usually isn't the attribute you'd most want to pass on. Just my personal opinion.

Only use a mentor woh has great attribute not great personalities .. in season  or 2 u can get professionalism and work rate by finning them when ever they perform poorly..  I mentored him with normal mentor still he is improving like this ..

Great season.

Just to add my two penneth: Sesko has barely got injured when I’ve used him, and I’ve found most players don’t seem to if you look after them properly and they don’t have that ‘prone’ tag.

@DanEnglish work rate is not so much important for strikers. If u r using 1 striker and .. ur striker should be selfish player of ur team so they score more ..

Work rate is important in EVERY position. It has nothing to do with being selfish either. That's team work, not work rate. How much team work matters depends on what role your striker is used as.

Work rate and team work is the same if u have any doubts u can ask @Scratch

Work rate increase players team work .. and ur player become hard working .. striker requires determination and professionalism work rate is good for every position not for striker  .

Is this based on your own experiences in the game or just going by what Scratch says?

I trust his opinions on this game more than anyone else but I also work things out for myself and my opinion stands by what I have done in my own careers. I find that the role I use for my striker, which is different to most others I've seen requires work rate. It may increase his team work somewhat but work rate is essential for what I need. 👍
