That name was one of the options we ran past a focus group of fans, but it didn't go down very well. But don't worry, we ended up with a 'RobDaiBroodje Bowl' in the section 13 toilet block. We originally had a small screen on the cubicle door that displayed your latest Vibe posts, but we had to remove it after fans complained that no matter how often they flushed, it was still full of $h1t...  🤣

EDIT: Sorry, I made myself laugh so hard that I wet myself and had to rush to the said toilet to try to clean up, so I guess you got your revenge already...

Yeah, he seems perfect - a good base, high PA, but lowish CA so he will develop quickly. I love players like this.

Oh, I missed the 1000 goals mark for the Fastest 1000 Goals challenge.

Here is Sesko at 1033 goals (he starts with 21 on the board that I can't count):

And that came in 427 games (total games managed by me in that time):

I'm not going to ask to be added to the leaderboard - for the last couple of years I've been retired from the long term leaderboards etc as I know too much behinds the scenes stuff when it comes to players etc, which gives me an unfair advantage. The only 'leaderboard' I go for these days is the record store as that's too much fun not to take part. 😄  Oh and some of the 1 to 3 season challenges, like the Badge series and the Lewis Cook one I created. But longer term ones I'll stay out of an just do for fun.

Alright, Sesko and Campbell are in their prime now, so we're looking for some big seasons over the next four or five years.

 

Transfers

We sold a couple of the weaker wonderkids, but the big departure was McCrorie who left after 7 years as a starter. Almost kept him, but was happy to let him go given it was Newcastle offering. And coming in were a handful of young hopefuls (for later).

Sesko went injury free this season and Campbell only had a minor injury (10 days, which worked out to be 4 games).

Massive season from Sesko who scored 182 goals from 56 games:

It's a Club World Championship tournament year, but the two group games against weak opposition didn't happen before the end of season event - or this would have been even higher! Just new levels of consistency as he reached his mid-20s.

 

Assists - Campbell

Campbell got 108 assists from 54 games:

Finally! I've broken the 100 assist mark after several (real life) years of trying. @deepheat83 beat me to that and I know he has at least 109 on one of his saves, so I've still got some work to do, but I'm very happy to have beaten that mark.

Final Thoughts

If we can press on with another four or five very big seasons, then we might get far enough ahead of the curve that we'll be able to deal with the inevitable decline at the end of this career. That's got to be our goal, though of course the threat of injury means we can't count on these sorts of number every year.

Another unbelievable number achieved, goals wise! Every time I think I'm onto a mega score the goals slow down significantly. Glad yours didn't.

Thanks man. Yeah I get the slow down too, especially after January, but I think shifting to a different tactic mid game has really helped that. Maybe I should just make that my main tactic for a while....

But @deepheat83 is more likely to reach 200 goals in a season 1st ..

Because the start he got at 1st season .. under 50 goals and now 185 that's a huge jump .. 👏

I believe in you mate . Ur scoring is freaking amasing as you never touch itn football. If we count itn goals also, i can promise i will be right in your heels also. Those assists are mad also, too bad i cant compete on that section as im playing with 2 squads - one for itn guys to get them best chemestry for itn squad also and other one for gathering best players in world.

I use two squads, roughly equal, and I just rotate them every game, no matter who we play. The only exceptions to being rotated are Sesko and Campbell - they play every game and get subbed off when they get close to 80%. But I don't have to worry about that ITN chemistry issue, so makes it simpler for me!

I thougt about giving assist also a go, but that would have needed another youngster to start every game. If we consider league and other things, it would have costed us atleast 30-50 goals at first seasons. 
 

I freaking hate itn football at football manager, but with challenges like these those extra 500 goals which comes with it really matters. But it adds complication to my squad building. As i allways seem to struggle to build itn squad for my tact if im not playing with france or england . I feel there just aint enough talent for my liking to build them.

Yeah, I didn't start with Campbell as playing every game until the second half of season 2 - before that I wasn't going for any sort of assist target, so I just rotated the best players.

The real test for me is going to come near the end, when Campbell drops off. Will I persist with him and try to maximise his assists? Or will I bin him and play someone better to maximise Sesko's goals? I think I'll have to choose Sesko if it comes down to it, but that's a problem for another 8 season's time.

As for ITN football, I know it would be better to have those goals, but I'm really glad I'm not doing it. When I have in the past, my club squad and ITN squad are very similar, as the only way to get truly next level ITN players is to buy them as kids and give them the full training/levelling up experience. Leaving it to the AI just doesn't cut it...

We're in the middle of the most important seasons of this save now and need to make hay while the sun shines! Let's see how much we made this year.

Injuries

Sesko got injured in the Club World Championship final and was out for a month, but only missed the first 3 games of the season. Campbell had 2 separate month long injuries during the season, followed by a 3 week injury after the season.

Love these guys (Sesko took almost the whole season to recover from the CWC injury):

 

Goals - Sesko

Sesko was sluggish after his injury and got off to a slower start than usual (16 goals in first 9 games), but picked up the pace over the course of the season, finishing with 176 goals from 59 games:

Worth noting that he played more games than any other season, thanks to the entire CWC being held at the very start of the season (in the off-season really).

 

Assists - Campbell

Campbell got 79 assists from 50 games, well down on his normal rate, mostly due to sluggishness after the injuries I think:

Getting ahead of the curve now, but that's exactly what we need to offset the smaller seasons at the end of the save.

 

Final Thoughts

Another very good season, especially for Sesko, and we need to come back and do it all again next season.
