Career Jumping on the 3k bandwagon [season 22] 3005/3000

Notice a good few of you guys are trying the seemingly impossible 3k challenge. 

 

So I've decided to try the Belgium league.

With a striker I've never used. So this could be very interesting.

Not the greatest of first season.

Only 45 goals. Leaving me with 2955 left. In 29 seasons.

This is going to be harder that expected.

Definitely going to need to land the Spain job. Ideally after the first World Cup 🤞

Managed to develop him fairly well first season, stamina is a major issue. Got serial to 20 so concentrating on that now.

Expect / need him to double his goal tally this season or this challenge might be over before its even start.

Good luck mate. Congrats on getting the ITN job so quick. And I applaud you for using players you haven't tried before (although might make a 3K harder) - getting him to 20 Aerial so quickly is great, just need to worry about that Stamina and Pace now. Anyway, good luck!

Season 2 done.

Doubled up on last seasons goal tally.

He's developing nicely bur starting to slow down a bit which is pretty concerning considering he's still only 18.

Anyway 151 goals down, 2849 to go 🤣🤣🤣 nearly there.

Think my plan is going to focus on bringing in young Spaniards to develop, should benefit both my team and the international team.

Some more progression on the treain8ng front. Still not happy with his stamina. Hopefully by the end of season 4 he'll be green and play 70+ mins in most games.

 

Hit over 100 at 19 which is encouraging and has really taken to international football.

Season 4 in the bag.

Not much in the form of player development, sadly he has peaked already so wouldn't expect him to grow much further.

But he's banging them in so am happy enough how he's turned out compared to his original stats!

 

In fact, after checked, the only thing that has changed is his Decisions, dropped by 1!!!

And that is after an entire season of intense training, WHAT?!?!?!?!

 

Changed tactic half way through the season as I felt I wasn't getting enough goals.

Was heading for just over 100 again.

But managed to turn that into 132. Hopefully push for 150 next year.

Still only 20 so if he's hitting 150 by the age of 21 I'll be happy with that.

301/3000. A tenth of the way there after 4 seasons. 

Going to need 135 a season for the next 20 at this rate. But by then he'll be 41.

This challenge is a toughy, no doubt about it!!

Plus 20 International goals.

 

Not much else to report.

Big shout out the James ward-prowse.

Massive contribution from him this season.

We roll onto season 6.

Season 6 draws to a close.

What started off so promising ended up a git disappointing. 

Only 118 club goals this season and 19 international.

Tinkered about a bit too much I think.

Lost ward-prowse for a few months too. Definitely missed his delivery from set pieces.

Any ways, onto season 7.

Figure at this rate it's going to take me 25 seasons. 

Need a couple of banging seasons.

Might look to freshen up my squad. Midfield is aging

Doing great mate, he's looking alright and the goals are flowing and he's only 22. I expect he'll hit 150 in the next couple of years. 

BTW, I have spent the last couple of years trying to get a player to 100 assists in a season and my best is 99... And you just casually get JWP to 104? Damn... Well done mate! 😄

I’m fairly convinced no one can take pens in the game anymore. In my Moukoko career I swear he missed 10+ a season and he’s the best young striker in the game.

I think you're right, he's down as an 'unconvincing penalty taker' but that hasn't changed since the 1st day I signed him

I hadn't done it until recently but this man is the boss when it comes to set pieces.

Granted I had a 20 aerial lucca up top but still.

99 though, that must have hurt 💔

Season 7 out of the way.

 

Changed tactic again mid way through.

Ended up getting a good run of goals.

 

Also started watching the highlights so not flying through as many games now.

For some reason, maybe just in my head, I feel that you score more when watching. 

Just me?

1k down, 2k to go.

With Ferri about to turn 25 i reckon ive got at best another 12 seasons left with him.

This means i need to up my goal.

 

Was getting a bit bored and started messing around with my tactics.

 

Turned out to be a bit of a disaster but finally found one that works as you can see from ferris form. If he keeps this up jext season should hopefully hit 150 goals.

Need a bit of a clear out. Some of the boys i got in early are getting old now and stats are dropping fast.

Season 9 done.

 

173 goals this year. Pretty incredible return.

 

Finally settled on a tactic that seems to be working for me.

If he could score more pens I'd be flying.

Currently scores about 1/3 which is pretty terrible given his stats.

 

In the world Cup again at the end of the season. 

Undecided if its actually worth winning again. As I had the realisation that you don't play qualifiers so miss out on 4 gamed against very poor opposition. 

 

If we make it to the final I might throw it. Depends who it's against.

Going to be 26 by end of the year so really need to be pushing on for another close to 150 goal season if there is to be any chance

👍 173 in a Season...need to constantly score like this until he reach at 30 so u can reach 2k goals at age of 30.

is that possible 1k after 30 years? 

And if that happen he will be the 1st striker who scores 1k after reaching 30 years . Best of luck for ur journey to 3k goals .

Great going mate and he's gonna score more in the next few years too. I wonder if anyone can get close to 200 goals in a season. I would have said no, but I people are getting in the 170s now (and I might know someone who's snuck into the 180s).  

Don't get yourself sacked from the ITN game while trying to lose the World Cup! 🤣
