Chat Can the penalty ability of a player level up?

If I have a wonder kid take a lot of pens and I improve his shooting will he get higher stars on the penalty taking section?

So you just have to find wonderkids that have the penalty abilities

On the opposite end of this. My guy has suddenly developed the unconvincing penalty and free kick traits. Weird as his stats got better, he forgot how to take a set piece.

If he is to improve his stats (I think like shooting, decision, technique, or whatever stats that influence his penalty) his penalty taking ability will improve but his stars won't. 

For example my own striker : He is peaked (no more improvement after match no matter how high his score is), he got decent improvement in his shooting and technique, and in current season he is able to score around 80-90% of the penalties he got, compared with in his first or second season (i think he scored only ~30% of the penalties at the time). 

Yet when we see at the penalty taker section, he still there with 0.5 stars 😂

And still have 'unconvincing penalty taker' in his coach report, which didn't change from the first time I bought him. 

So I think it's safe to say that the stars itself won't increase, but he still can take penalties just fine if he improves.

If you want your striker to take penalty, and disregard anything else, the only two I ever met with 'effective penalty taker' report (beside regen player) is Haaland (best young striker in game) and Sergio Camello. 

But as I said, they maybe not ideal in everything else (Haaland is too expensive and won't go to small-medium club) and Camello is already 20yo at start, and isn't that good in the long run.

You probably already know this - but many teams already have a few players with either “effective penalty taker” or “expert in dead ball situations” (which I assume includes penalties).

Sorry if I'm not clear, he ask wonderkid that good at take penalties... So I only mention the wonderkid (<21 y.o) I knew, and ever scout. Maybe there's a lot more wonderkid that good at penalties that I don't know. 

If talk about all kind of players, then there's obviously a lot of good penalty taker out there. 😊

"An expert in dead ball situations" means the player is good at corners, free kicks, and penalties.
