Career Darlington attempts it's a long way to the top (SEASON THRE)

No further instruction, it's just a basic attempt. Take a team from the bottom to conquer the world. 

 

I initially wanted to attempt 1000 goals with Endrick, but I'll leave that for later. 

Started out unemployed, so I holidayed for one season.

I noticed SCUNTHORPE UNITED were relegated from the national league so I decided to take charge of the team

Well here we go. 

This is the squad I inherited, looks decent for the division. 

Just need few free transfers and decent loan players.

UPDATE. 

I noticed SCUNTHORPE were playing in the national league and I wanted to start from the lowest league. 

I restarted and holidayed then towards march I noticed DARLINGTON 1883 we're without a manager so I applied. 

I've used this team over the years (for obvious reasons) so seeing them available was just what I needed. 

Finally a team after my own heart. 

Playing at BLACKWELL MEADOWS a capacity of 3,300 is fan owned football club. 

Darlington Football Club is an association football club based in Darlington, County Durham, England. As of the 2022–23 season, the team competes in the National league north, at the sixth tier of English football. The club was founded in 1883, and played it's matches at feethams (Wikipedia)

SO DARLINGTON TAKES CHARGE OVER DARLINGTON. 

They had a decent season before I took over, sitting at 12th on the table I had to get them to playoffs, and so my journey begins 

The transfer budget was nothing so I had to use the wage budget to get some free signings. They already had 3 players on loan so I had to get an additional 3. 

Sold this fringe players at the end of the season. 

Managed to get them to the playoffs after playing 9 games, winning 8 and drew only one. 

So the playoffs begin

Was drawn with Chorley in the first round. 

Won then 4-2 and progressed to the next semi finals. 

Hereford gave me a tough time

But I managed to beat them 2 nil a the final 10 minutes. 

Onto the finals with king's Lynn town

Close game

but we won the playoffs and progressed to the national league. 

I hope I get a decent budget next season.

SEASON TWO

The transfer budget was not impressive, so I had to make do of what I have

Got a lot of free transfers but couldn't get quality players on loan

Released and sold some players above 30 from the club.

I believe my most impressive signing was former Manchester united player D'mani Mellor, he had an amazing season scoring for fun. 

Netting 48 in 47 matches

The only competition I had in the league was SCUNTHORPE united, they were 1 point ahead of me just after new year

But I managed to win the league and got promoted to league 2

Won the FA trophy as well, so that's 2 trophies this season

I had to disable the team talk because honestly it's getting on my nerves and I don't see the need. Also got my silver coaching badge. 

Hopefully SI does something about hiring a staff before I get to the championship.

SEASON THREE

Not gonna go into too much details in this season

As usual, got a lot of free transfers for squad depth and also got so championship players on loan

Got rid of deadwoods. 

got some job offers

 

Won the league this time and achieved promotion

 

Onto season 4
