Tactics 4-1-2-2-1 Ten Hag Esque Tactic

Hi, so I dont know if this tactic has been made by anyone on FM23 mobile yet. 

But I wanted to share my tactic so far. I've tried to get some inspiration from Erik Ten Hag's style of football.

I know it may not be exactly to the teeth, interms of formation or style of play, but it has got me decent results so far, in my Manchester United save.

Positives are: You will get around 53-60% posession ingame. Also plenty of shooting chances. Also the odd few games where you'll get 3 goals or more. I have a decent amount of cleansheets but that could be down to having a decent squad. 

 

Negatives are: Not tested this tactic on any other teams yet. Also 2nd half I've noticed the team may not score a goal in the 2nd half, as they seem sometimes to be too relaxed if the team is leading 3-0. 

 

Looking at a few more additions to this squad to bolster the team: 

Maybe a caqueret, rovella, vlahovic or even kvara,

Let us know how you get on. I'm also going to try this tactic with maybe napoli or Ajax. Once I complete my 1st season at United.

Thanks. Good to hear the tactic is working for you. I've made a slightly more attacking version of this tactic. A few more position changes. 

Just follow the same tactic's as above but push the players more higher.

I dont like ss-ap position becouse my striker going left or right and then ap is scoring more goals and attacker cant score.

 

Tactic is good but i will test iw or wingers. Becouse now if are bugged

Yeah that's one thing I've noticed the IF's and AP's are scoring a fair few goals more this year. As for IW's they dont seem to do much this year compared to last year. 

For me ronaldo has scored a decent amount of goals. I'm lookjng at signing Vlahovic or sesko next to replace Ronaldo as he I want him to join my coaching staff.

I bought evertons forward. I forgot his name ) he score good amount of goals. But i cant expend contract with rashford and he  went to city.

Ohh it'll most likely be calvert lewin you bought. 

I was contemplating buying Ivan Toney as he's the so called perfect TF. Unfortunatly can't buy sesko as he's already moving to leipzig. 

I was also looking at buying another AP as VDB is mediocre and Eriksen is past his best. 

I did buy moises Caicedo from brighton. He's okay in game, but his personality is shocking always negative and moody. Which is part of his personality trait.

just tried this with Tottenham. 7-0 up against shakhtar at half time. finished 8-0.

Isn't this tactic similar to dk falcon's ajax tactics on fm22 mob except for the wingback pushing higher

Yes it's very similar just I tried to follow the exact same tactics from last years FM into this years FM, but it didn't work for me. 

 

So I tried experimenting with pushing the WB's higher instead. Which looks like it's worked a treat. 

 

If I remember DK also may have had 1 BPD as opposed to 2 BPD's and RW playing as an IW.

 

Again, I'm just in the experimenting phase. Trying various formations and roles.

Yeah originally when I used DK Falcon's version last year TF worked well. 

TF does work if you have someone like Ivan Toney up top. 

But poacher is mainly the option to go. 

As for the advanced version I tend to play that when I'm playing against the bottom half teams as I want my team to score as many as they can.

I also tried with napoli and failed miserably it might be a tactic just for top teams. 

I'm in the process of testing it with Newcastle. But it's hit and miss.

Had been solid in defense but struggled to score goals in my 1st season until i started using this. Currently in 2nd season, only change made was turned IFs into IWs which seems to get them more involved in the game.

Mostly use the attacking formation as the team is strong enough now to dominate.

I use something similar to this tho.

With one CD to stay back and make the last man tackles if need be.. 

Attacking mentality, Shoot on sight and look for overlaps the only changes from yours..

 

But I'll try this out in my Brighton save and give my feedback 😌

No problem let us know how you get on. 

I've tried this with a few other teams. This may only work with elite teams.
