In fm23 I am noticing a very interesting thing. The experience of the players is of considerable importance in European competitions. In FM22 this aspect was less evident, with a team of young players and good tactics you could dominate in Europe. In fm23 if you have a young team you can have excellent results in the national championship, but in European competitions, even if you play well, the episodes and the ability to withstand the pressure are crucial.

Note the difference in performance between the league and the European cup. The tactic works well but the experience of the players is making a difference in the cup. Two defeats by conceding goals from players aged +33.
