One of the best tactics I have created on fm, and the first tactic to have won the Champions League, the championship, the national cup, from the first season.

I beat barcelona, city, real madrid, dortmund to win the champions league.

Looks good. Although not 100% on some of the roles as my French is rusty.

That formation is definitely strong in this years game. I used 41212 but with different roles (BWM, RP, SS and PF and Poacher up front).

It's a solid tactic and scores goals.

A midfield diamond does look very strong this year against the opposition’s 343 DM and 4231 DM - the diamond seems to pull the opposition two DMCs out, giving space for your AMC 👍

I actually like this a lot more with a balanced or deep defensive line. The high line this year is very vulnerable, and it gives the AI an easy out ball over the top.

And if your strikers aren't great in the air, I find wrong footing your WBs to be useful. Keep the same role, just put them right foot on the left and vice versa.

In terms of wrong footing the wing backs, how do they perform in the game then? Presuming they don’t bomb up to cross, is it more playing through the middle?

They will still move up into high positions, but when they receive the ball, they will either check back onto their strong foot, and either play a lateral pass into the AP or SS, or play an inswinging cross.

It's a lot better than previous years, where they would just use their weak foot to cross from the byline.
