Been wanting to try out a bit of catennacio..

trying this with Leeds right now (definitely the default team not the best suited) but so far I am liking the flow and movement with the players.. been pretty solid defensively so far.. decent results considering the team.. I like this tactic potential

Thanks for the feedback, it is important to note that in this tactic - the key figure is the Libero and Trequartista, it is very difficult to find the right players for these roles, Good luck to you with Leeds, then share the results.

Yes Mike, updated the post, added the first season results. Lack of strength and depth in the lineup at the end, this tactic is probably the only one of its kind that uses such rare roles as - Libero and Trequartista, try it out and good luck

Updated / Second season result :

Almost finished first season with Leeds and I really like this tactic.

again just to recap.. no signings (even January I did not want to mess around with it plus I only had 7mn to play with).. had to b me aggressive with retraining some players (default team isn’t fully suited to the system but that’s fine)

I am on course to finish just inside top 10 but 7th is in reach as wells (it’s Leeds after all and I keep my expectations in check)

Results were mixed.. somehow beat Man Utd but lost to a relegation team.. mostly I am getting draws (not a bad thing considering the team is not suited) and the Defence is solid.. attacking isn’t over powered but there were a few 3-0 and 4-0 games.. 

libero - Koch plays well there. I tried struijk but he actually works well as the IWB on the right

NCB - cooper is good and hjelde for backup 

treqartista - tough like you said.. rodrigo did decent there and rotated him with gnonto and gelhardt

CF - Greenwood for some reason shined (12 goals so far) and I rotated him with gnonto too with bamford 

WM - sinisterra was solid

Midfield 3 - Adams solid as BWM but when he is out or tired very thin.. had to push Darko in there or Foreshaw or move Christensen.. BBM and RP was just rotating and trying aaronsen, roca and klich.. even brought in Archie Gray and brought back Bate from loan.. haven’t figured out what is the best yet

LWB - firpo, Dallas and drameh.. even tried Harrison for going up against weaker teams.. 

what I really like is the inter plays to get the goals.. when we score most of the time it’s a result of such a nice move so I really enjoy this tactic!

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I often hear that Leeds is very difficult to work with as many tactics don't suit him, so you're probably right about the team not being suitable, rather than the tactics for this team. The important thing to note is that without the right Trequartista you'll get a lot of draws, and without the right Libero you'll have trouble defending, because he has to cover the crazy BWM + the big responsibility of IWB, because this dude has to do his job on the wing and cover the risky Libero in the center. So pick the right fighters and you'll be happy, Good luck in the new season
