Tactics 4-1-2-3 Deadly IF & SS

Disclaimer : I don't create this tactic, found it on discord and this working like a charm for me. With this tactic, your main goal sources will be your IFs and SS, The SS probably will be your top scorer, if your IF has good shooting stat then he can become a top scorer too.

 

Let's just jump to the roles here :

GK : any good GK will be okay

BPD : Passing, Decision and Pace need to be 14+

CD : any good CD 

WB : 14+ on Pace and Crossing, movement and positioning will be bonus. You can change this to IWB if you are trying to retain the lead. (Tested FB too but not as effective)

BWM : Tackling and Strength are the key. Passing also needed to link up with the CM

AP : The brain of your team. Passing and Creativity must be good. Prioritize this position.

RP : The lungs of your team. Good basic CM stat with good stamina and shooting, as the guy will go forward often.

IF : 14+ for Shooting, Pace, Passing and most importantly opposite foot.

SS : The finisher. Any decent SS will do, get someone with good finishing and also aerial, to finish off the cross from WB.

 

Some tips:

- Use control mentality against big teams or playing hard away matches.

- In case of red card, move your bwm higher, so the DM pos. is empty, The other CM should be RP. change your mentality to balance / counter.

Do you have a narrow or wide stance? Where do the two inverted forwards start from in the 3d match? From a middle position or do they remain very advanced? It might be interesting to put the two outside defenders one square further in order to keep a closer distance with Inverted Forwards.

Neither of them are my tactic, I just think it makes sense to combine the conversation about both into one thread, as they are essentially discussing the same tactic.

I'm not at Genk anymore, but here they are just look at the stats from 24/25 and 25/26 season.

Left IF : Churlinov & Rogers

Right IF : Kieron Bowie

Ss : Nicolas Castro

Oh, that is basicly my own tactic posted at the start of the game. Dont understand how this post got more applause than the original one but that a bit sad haha. 

To all the questions. It is still working after updates but not as prolific as it was. Wing Backs are that deep because when they were higher, they tended to stay forward and opposite wingers had too much space -> cross and header. Don’t know why, but in this years game IF deployed lover are nearly useless for me, but moving them up works like a charm. They are not the same as in previous version, but do good. However, they are not deadly!!!!! That is extremely false to state that it is different. SS is deadly and RP could be also if it is choose wisely. 

 

Tried to tweak it in any way, the main problem is BWM that do only defensively good, changed to DLP and is less efficient in defense meaning more goals for opponents, but gets better notes so it is up to anyone.

If you like this one just maybe, MAYBE give some credit to original poster 🥹
